Those 165hz are just for decoration because games can only reach 120fps and not even that much games can get there, its useless using as an excuse that it has more refresh rate if there is absolutely no app that can show it completely

Man the power consumption on all of these phones is crazy high. I hope next year we can get same performance but 5 watts of power. I don’t see any of these phones lasting over a year or maintaining this level of performance without degradation. 50c is crazy high and will not only affect battery, but other components in phone. Great test!

Hi, i have a Samsung S20 FE 5G and when i play pubg the cpu temps is between 40-55°C, and if I play dead by daylight the cpu temp is over 50°C all the time.. I need to worry about it? Or it is normal temps for the cpu.. (battery temps dosent get over 40°C)

@@Adrian-ls2pb so battery Temps are okay, anything lower than 40c is good for long duration gaming. As for cpu Temps, you wanna be anywhere between 40 to 45c for long duration gaming. I'd say try at least keep cpu Temps 46 to 47 highest. One of the reasons this is important is due to phone longevity. A lot of people don't realize that when a device overheats for a long duration for a long period, this will slowly damage phone internals. This is the primary reason why many phones become "slower," after a few months to a year of usage. It may start fast, but then gradually degrade and become slow. So definitely lower settings to the point where cpu Temps are lower. 🙂

@@DameTech I tried to lower the graphics on dead by daylight, but it keeps getting over 50°C, and i have one more issue, i installed cpufloat and the cpu temps are jumping like crazy, from 40 to 43-45, sometimes even 50°C. I saw your videos, as well Golden's videos, and i saw that the cpu temps slowly increase, but on my phone, its litteraly jumping... And the update interval its at 1000 ms, as default..

@@Adrian-ls2pb I would definitely check to make sure you don't have any faulty apps that may interfere with phone performance. You can try lowering resolution - however, most games do have a set standard resolution. You can also make sure to eliminate any background apps. Third, many aren't aware, but FPS and temp software that you run in background to monitor performance also does usually decrease performance or increase thermals by a small percentage. The good is it seems to be a software issue. If it was steady high Temps even in idle mode than that means you may need to re thermal paste depending on device or get a replacement.

The game looks amazing on max settings, but for battery life I definitely need to lower it to about medium for less overall power consumption. Although I do want to leave it at 60 fps even if it pushes into overclock... Gotta compare the results for the Redmagic 6 Pro.

Why you didn't used the ludicrous mode for black shark 4 pro and super performance mode for Red Magic 6 Pro? While you used x mode+ to ROG 5 and rampage mode to Lenovo duel 2. That is also the reason why Black Shark 4 Pro only consumes at an average of 7000mW compare to the other 3 phones with 9000mW and 11000mW.

Hey great review! But I think you should these tests longer like 30 minutes. Because regular phones usually starts overheating after 10-15 minute mark, 10 minute tests for a phones with a coolers is not enough time for the phones to heat up.

I've been saving money for a year for a nice kick ass phone. I do like gaming a lot so... I was between ROG phone 5 Black Shark 4 Pro Red Magic 6 Legion Duel 2 I'm on Metro and some have claimed the Red Magic doesn't work well or at all really with Metro/T Mobile. Any truth to that .... I'm not sure which to get. I have $1,350 saved. Someone did a test with the BS cooler and it did better on the ROG 5 than the ASUS made one lol. I was leaning towards the ROG 5 Ult. But using the BS cooler

honestly I think it should be all or nothing. RM6 and Duel4 also have external fans. Just put them all on. It's very strange to see rog be the only one with the external fan. It's not like for the same price you can't get fans either.

its the fault of the other 2 not putting a fan on them...fan cooler consumes power and i dont need a thing plugged with a cable when i am playing...if i dont have wall port to put a charger and when using game controller like gamesir x2 (nintendo switch style) who hide the usb port of the phone and not let you plug cables...you cannot use the cooler....and the coooler is even not in the box of BS4 it is sold separetly
