I’m still mesmerized by how composer John Barry was able to say so much with just a few notes. The shimmering 4 note “Oddjob” theme, heard in a few other key scenes, notably in the Fort Knox vault (when Bond momentarily gains the upper hand by getting ahold of his bowler hat) is sublime. Sixty years on and still so iconic!
@sierrabenАй бұрын
John Barry also composed the theme song for the 1964 film Zulu.

Vibration under load. If you look closely you can see a crack forming in the elbow area of the statue. If that crack exceeds a certain size the arm will break off. Don't see anything unrealistic there

Third time a charm..... It definitely was as far as Goldfinger is concerned. It's literally the Bond movie that set the benchmark for ALL to follow, not just Bond movie's BUT all action movie's as we know it. Classic

Was 10 when this movie came out in 1964 and my mom wouldn't let me go see it because it was on the Catholic Digest banned movie list because of the naked 'gold lady' scene. I snuck out for an afternoon showing and because of that I became a life long Bond movie fan. When I left the theater my mom was waiting outside as the movie was longer than normal and being late she put 2 and 2 together. Funny thing was is that I had no interest in the 'almost' naked lady because my attention went to that amazing car and all its gadgets.
