Why do the filters inside the pressurised system go in in the order they do, ie alternate, course, fine, course, fine. Why do they not go in a graduate order from course to fine?
@ThePondAdvisor4 жыл бұрын
As the course pads allow more water throw to the fine, if is was fine fine fine the middle fine would not get the same amount of water

Hi Mark, I have a 3000 litre pond with approximately 30 fish, 6 of those are koi, the koi are all under a foot in length . I currently have a pontec 8000 pump and filter system with a UV light and the pond gets a lot of sunlight, do you have any recommendations for a filter system that would keep the water pretty clear, I'm not after crystal clear, though that would be nice just better than what my water looks like now which is murky, I was thinking of getting an oase filtoclear set 16000 which seems easy to clean, many thanks jason
@ThePondAdvisor4 жыл бұрын
I would always install a waterfall filter and system, creating an ecosystem. If on the other hand you don’t want a waterfall then go bigger this small 2000 litre pond has a 30k filter, if you put on a small pressure filter you will have a lot of maintenance and attention. I am more about living the lifestyle instead of cleaning filters every week
@jasonwilson76744 жыл бұрын
@@ThePondAdvisor Thanks Mark , I'm going to get the 30k then as I have to clean my filter every week , thanks again, Jason
@chrisartis42844 жыл бұрын
@@jasonwilson7674 your pond is heavily over stocked I'd rethink that filter option it won't get you far to be honest
@jasonwilson76744 жыл бұрын
@@chrisartis4284 really, 6 koi under a foot in length and 24 goldfish. What are my options then, bigger filter or reduce my fish?
@geddgillespie54524 жыл бұрын
@@jasonwilson7674 ... I agree with Chris Artis - as a compromise I'd go with the 30k Filter System AND reduce the number of fish. I'd keep the 6 Koi and perhaps 12 of the Goldfish and look to rehome the remainder.

There good kit but I'd recommend the hozelock bioforce revolution 14000 over it 👌

Why do you prefer the bioforce, we have had nothing but problems.

@@ThePondAdvisor to be fair can't fault the bulid quality of the oase unit but the cleaning method isn't that efficient.. Hence why you removed the foam set no dedicated bio media and pretty low wattage uv's in the range... 36w in the revolution 14000 and a far better cleaning procedure.. If it was and oase unit bulid would be slightly better but selling them since there release and returns very low same as the oase unit to be honest but I'd rather spend less on the hozelock unit in this instance
