While I used to think Goldfish are boring, I've changed my mind since making a 40 breeder fancy tank. I love that each goldfish are so easy to differentiate and we are able to name them. I think naming something gives us a closer connection, cause we be like, how is Tiramisu doing today? Also I am amazed at how active they are, I'm so glad I went with goldfish rather than an Mbuna Cichild tank. They are so much more active and personable than cichlids. Yes overrated fish in that everyone knows what a goldfish is and may have been their first fish. But IMO are most underrated fish cause people don't appreciate them as much as they should.

I had a goldfish habit in high school. I had orandas, chocolate orandas, a pearl scale, bubble eye, black moor, I had a ranchu with the raspberry on the head, and one without. I thought about getting back into it but I got a cat instead. a panda moor, and now your crowned pearlscales almost made me wish I'd gone back into goldfish

fancy goldfish can be clumsy and easily get stuck/injured/choke on the decorations. and it isn't actually necessary to have them.

If they are so clumsy then where do they live in the open world? Or are they a special breed of goldfish that can only survive with the help of humans? I'm sorry for all the questions I'm just so curious to know!

@@iineiko well, the type of goldfish he has are fancy goldfish. fancy goldfish are man-made, domesticated fish. so in a way, yes, they can survive only with the help of humans. and even if a fancy goldfish is released into the wild, they can be very invasive to the ecosystem. and the goldfish at the very least, have their sand/gravel/substrate(whatever you wanna call it) to sift through to find food which entertains them well enough, it seems.

@@iineiko i suppose that if you really want to add decor you can, but choose something that doesn't have jagged ends and not as easily uprooted from your substrate. that might help in preventing them from choking on decorations that you add in there(also, i'm not in any way a professional, heck i don't even keep goldfish. but based off my knowledge of goldfish from videos and articles. i just think it's fun to inform people of things i find interesting/useful. anyways, have a nice day/afternoon/night :D)

You have probably already had this question asked and probably already have answered it some where in a video; but why don't you decorate your tanks? And no im not taking like colored pebbles and fake plants. I'm talking some spiderwood or some aquatic plants (and yes i know that not everyone can maintain aquatic plants, im one of those people myself, and yes im rambling on sorry😅). I noticed you pronounce a lot of words differently or correctly (idk how they're supposed to be pronounced either) but I just know people pronounce thing differently depending on where they live.
