0:46 good lord....she is so sexy. I don't even care how old she is now....she's still smoking hot. She's so criminally underrated as a vocalist and songwriter. Everything Goldfrapp has ever released has been incredible. They can't make bad music. And I love how every album is totally unique from what came before. My personal favs are 7th Tree and Felt Mountain. But it's ALL good.

1 dislike,jesus,what did u think u were gonna see when u clicked on this link!??? If u know this song u would know that this is absolutely brilliant,this album is timeless.And to see how her vocals are altered live is mind blowing,never knew it would work live,awesome.

Okay - FINALLY the live rendition of "Lovely Head" I was dreaming of. No fuss, Alison's voice very "acoustic" (except for the obviously indispensable synth, no big reverb or equalizing on her voice), the actual sound of the violin is there (on NO other live clip have I heard that). Even though Will Gregory (the other half of Goldfrapp) was not satisfied with this band setting (see Wikipedia page),I love it,love it. GREAT POST,THANK YOU !!! (could someone tell WHEN this was broadcast on Canal+ ?)

@VoteDonyelle i guess in the edit version there's a guitar partially overlapped to the voice distortion

Wow - Great song , instant but not disposable like so many instant songs. I didn't realise the sound between the verses and choruses were here vocals. I thought it would be some prerecorded keyboard program - skills
@PaulKentSkates3 жыл бұрын
It's a 1970's synthesizer recreating her singing in real time.
@sturroma14 жыл бұрын
@VoteDonyelle actually, I'm wrong, it's filtered through a KORG MS-20 from what I hear

Anyone know what makes the very first sound you hear in this song? It's like a very strange sonar sound. It's not the Korg ms-20, I know, because that is being used on her vocals.
@theothertonydutch8 жыл бұрын
+Storm Craver You can replug, mix and rewire things. The MS-20 is flexible enough to do that kind of thing. It sounds like some resampling or replaying thing though.
@theothertonydutch8 жыл бұрын
+Storm Craver Hang on, isn't it from that thing at the beginning, maybe? I mean, the "selection menu" or whatever that is.
@gasolineandwine6 жыл бұрын
It could very well be the MS-20, it sounds like it atleast. However, it's not played it live. The intro chords, whistling and the siren synth sound is all sampled, they've always done it this way.
@boorch13 жыл бұрын
it's not a theremin nor an effected vocal. it's her noise passing through his vocoder.
