I couldn't bear going the day they turned the machine off but I cried all morning and played this song after a while. A few minutes later i received the text with the news. this band has been around since i was in 9th grade and has been my favorite since i first discovered them and i have never once in my life heard this band on any radio station. In the 90's I was a HUGE fan of Lush and Curve. Blonde Redhead reminds me so much of their music, but still has its own "sound" which I REALLY like. I've gotta go see these guys live!

Why has hardly anyone heard of this band & Kazu, has the most amazing voice, she will lessen her alcohol intake when she realises it's not good for her, or the band come together to help her. Honestly after surviving her horse accident & still loving them, she can conquer pretty much everything, how can i say this ?? Because i have had the same thing, i still have brain damage, & not good voice. So i can guarantee her voice will just keep being as beautiful

Single coil Gibson flatop Les Paul, circa 1959, or reproduction. That band is tight - never heard them before - but this is so good. If this was recorded live epic clarity and sync for a live performance. She is beautiful and fluid - like the band backing her up.

2007 was a very epic year for me because that was the year so many epic tunes and music was being played and shared. I had a MySpace account back then(didn't we all!) and i had all three of the female singers that had hits made with Fragma following me and interacting also I was absolutely star struck with Damae but of course I acted "cool" and since I am a gentleman I won't tell you which one of them actually requested that she gets listed FIRST before the other two in my followers list! Now since I was only a tiny account with about 300 followers this felt very surreal that they had even noticed me let alone started to follow me! My brother was in a fairly well known dance music band that were active in the 90's to early noughties so that might have had something to do with it but to have some of my fav female music idols jostling for position in my followers account summed up the special magic of that year for me! At some point I heard this tune called "23" by a band called Blonde Redhead sung by their lead singer (Kazu) who is neither blonde nor a redhead but I guess there are no rules when it comes to creative licence! I became an instant fan based on that tune alone and of course i went on to enjoy their other tunes and cannot think of a single one I did not enthusiastically enjoy. It is now February 2024 and this tune still gives me goosebumps every time I hear the intro and it puts me on a kind of high all throughout the rest of the tune. I know me and Kazu are at opposite ends in our political preferences I am a MAGA and Trump supporting Brit and Kazu is a pretty staunch Democrat - I don't know about the rest of the band but only knew about Kazu because I discovered her instagram account by chance. I now see 2007 as a very special year musically and especially within the broad category of Indie Music. Now to me at least most of the "big names" in female vocalists today are massive turn off and sad to say especially it seems the case with female artists like Billie Eilish - I mean who tf pissed in her soup? She has a face like a smacked arse ffs! Anyway massive respect to Blonde Redhead your music is unforgettable :)
