I was close to tears at a few points while watching this. Lots of memories. Goldie is a true icon and has been a life long inspiration to me.

His Instagram is GOLD (no pun intended). He is such an amazing artist, producer, husband and dad. Overall a great human! He’s been sending me gear in the mail for the past couple of months. Shirts, hats, sweatshirts. He’s been my hero for YEARS, so to receive that stuff really means a lot.

I am Graffiti writer from back in the 80s, I went through a similar upbringing to Goldie, Abusive parents and an abusive few year stint at the hand of the local social services before getting fostered at the age of 15. I first learned of Goldie from a book called Spraycan art which is a bible to all true Graffiti artists and I visited Heathtown several times to track down the works of Goldie. I have felt an infinity with the artwork and the character that is Goldie. Over the years I have always rated Goldie as one of the top British Graffiti artists and am excited to see new works even to this day. Brim TatsCru and the influence he gave is what is missing in this video which to some extent I am happy to see that Goldie can stand as a giant on his own making. Brim who was a NYC legend & now I can say that he is a friend and also a in-the-works business associate and he told me that Goldie is living in Thailand which is strange because me and Brim are in Mainland China. Graffiti saved Goldie and I believe it`s exactly the same for myself. The creative mind is a beautiful and resilient entity and through years of being involved with the same cultures both artistically and through music culture I hold Goldie in a high esteem for he has made it away from the chains that bound him and made it by his own creativity and passions. I`m thankful to the people like Gus and Martin that saw a diamond in the rough and invested their time and energy into nurturing an inspirational person. The world is a small place and when you've been in a culture for so long - it goes full circle. BIG UP GOLDIE TWC, UGF, TATS CREW, UK ORIGINAL KING AND DON

An update well as you know the world is currently shut down however thanks to the internet contact is forever present so I have been able to have contact with Brim and the countless other Graffiti friends/associates and brothers which over the past two years has been a godsend. As for support please check my KZbin channel to keep up to date. Currently I and two others are running a continual Graffiti Channel collaboration which is at no.4 at the moment - 20 artists, 20 channels, random name exchanges, it`s quite fun and I believe a good diversion away from all the negativity around these days. really enjoyed this started to think back to some of the Hacienda ,shelleys and eclipse nights and being inspired then to get into djin and production in my late teens early twenties and also just raving and what me and my mates got upto growing up in Manchester .. until i got lost along the way and ended up down some dark tunnels of which im lucky enough to have come through some the other end and pick myself back up , but its easy to lose your way without support and intervention... still, i still have memories from b4 and grateful to be still makng em now ...
