He clearly appreciates the process without pompously communicating his knowledge, rather respectfully sharing his thorough understanding. He’s humble. To watch him and to listen to him describe the technical aspects of the fire, the ash and the coals is to sit with an expert who clearly remains enthralled by the beauty of the process and the limitless curiosity of this art. What a truly lovely and engrossing film.
