She got Oxycur Platin with 3% System Developer Lotion and freehand technique to add dimension to her pre-colored hair (TopChic 6RR@Pk + 6% System Developer Lotion on her natural 6NA); the beautiful hair color was created with Elumen Pk@all (followed by Elumen Lock and Elumen Shampoo and Conditioner). so i love my black hair hit have developed and allergy to ppd, i jave been doing my hair at hime for years, cutting bleaching and deying, is yhis safe to use at home ot strictly for licensed professionals?

It is a professional line and messier and more staining than you could ever imagine. I would not want to do it at home. There are also a bunch of steps and products you need to get good results.

Hello and thank you for your question. Yes it can, but of course it depends on if it's a natural blonde or a pre-lightened blonde. We would not recommend toning down pre-lightened hair too many levels, as it might require a very thorough application depending on the porosity of the hair. When in doubt, we recommend doing a test strand on the back of the head. One idea is to start with a just slightly darker shade the first time, and then go darker the next. The good thing with Elumen is that you can repeat the service as much as you want because it is not damaging to the hair.

Thank you for sharing your question! Elumen permanent hair color does not contain PPD, therefore it's a great alternative for people with allergies to oxidative hair dyes. However, we always recommend to do an AAT to be safe.

@@GoldwellEducationPlus I have an allergy to PPD. Although a recent patch test with a PPD Free dye, I still had a reaction ( and yes I cried!) Does your dye contain any PPD derivatives at all?

Hello! Thanks for your question. Elumen hair color does not contain PPD derivates, however - in your special case and overall, for very sensitive scalps - we always recommend an AAT or patch test at the dermatologist to be absolutely safe.

Thank you for your question! Yes, Elumen is a permanent hair color. However, other than oxidative hair colors, Elumen fades true to tone and there will be no hard demarcation line once your hair grows out.
