People don't realize the courses these guys play on are very very difficult I don't think I've seen them play on a flat course these last 6 months and those greens today were so fast you saw shots roll ten feet past when on other courses it would have stopped and been a lot closer. It’s fun to see you guys play stableford since it’s basically the standard here in Denmark that every round is played after. The easiest way to understand it is this: If you play your handicap on every hole then you’ll get 2 points every hole. That means, playing your handicap reaps 36 points. (2x18). Then from there you just look at your final points after a round. Let’s say I made 35 points then that’s 3 shots worse than handicap or a 39 being one shot better. Also this makes it so your entire round or match can’t be ruined by a single really bad hole since the maximum you can “lose” assuming opponent plays their handicap is 2 points/shots. Also: it makes it way more apparent that your handicap is a reflection of your very best rounds.

Doesn't change the fact the handicaps are wrong. Whoever did the handicaps for them used gross scores, which means when people were given shots or started under par those shots went into the handicap, which makes the handicap useless. Blake hasn't had good rounds either when playing by himself. He most likely consistently shoots 78 to 89 depending on the day.

@chosen1one930Ай бұрын
For the people that got strokes or started under par those good rounds because of strokes given were recorded to handicap with the strokes, instead of recording the score as what you shot without strokes. Someone did the handicaps for them. That's what they said when these handicaps started and they went back and entered every score from majors and solo play hopefully. They need to start over and keep up with handicaps, enter every score when you play by yourself, not just here and there.
@YeroccoАй бұрын
@@chosen1one930I need to actually record a score. I’ve played several rounds (including a local tourney) and have not kept with solo scores. No clue what the handicap would be. Tbh no clue on how to truly calculate it and use that info for slope ratings. I have an idea but the math doesn’t math well with me lol. I think in solo play I’m around a bogey/double bogey golfer. I do have some holes where I can drive the green and 2 putt for par. And some holes where I hit a good shot onto the green to 2 putt par. I lose strokes on par 3s and around the green. I have a good idea of course management but this being my first year back into playing, my skill set isn’t good. Never was actually 😂. But with all that, I don’t truly believe their handicaps to be true. I feel like some videos are edited more (or they used to be) because in the majors some are consistently inconsistent.

The reason people have issues with the handicaps some of the guys are carrying... is that when they hit a ball OB, they only take a 1 stroke penalty and drop where it crossed out of bounds, playing it as a lateral hazard, instead of following proper procedure for OB. If you are fudging the OB rules constantly, your handicap is going to be inaccurate. Plain and simple.
@johnwalsh1507Ай бұрын
True, Blake made par twice on 1 and 3 when he lost the ball off his drive. He can’t hit driver so if he had to hit off the tee again he was definitely scratching the hole

@rowdyroddy519Ай бұрын
@@chandlerpearson9853 No. I am saying their hcps are not accurate, and why they aren't. The pros do not use hcps. People do play by the rules, and follow the hcp system. Stop the Blake hate, he's better then 99% then all you keyboard warriors. His plus 1 index would put him of a course handicap of approx a 2 in this case. In a stableford you need 36 points to play to your handicap, so he played to a 8 handicap. How many of you play to a single figure on a good day let alone your bad days... also remember a handicap isn't a measure of your average its a measure of your best rounds. Of your previous 20 rounds only the 8 best count towards your handicap index I like his style once he learns to relax into his new role I'm sure you'll see his true ability. I thinks he's a awesome new addition to the ranks.

@malosigolf I noticed you tend to hit your mallet putter off the heel and the balls squirting off to the left on mid to short putts, have you ever thought of using a blade putter they're a little more forgiving if you're not hitting the center of the face, you're a great golfer but you can get more strokes gained on the green and brad will be chasing you just a suggestion

@@aj897 maybe it's just me personally, but on short putts especially cuz Moe is pulling his backswing further back than he needs to on those putts. He's having to slow it down on the downswing which is causing him to pull his shots and with the blade being lighter I think for him it would be more forgiving for that reason

when there are NO lateral pegs, it should be LOST BALL!! So off the tee, either tee up again or to save time, go to the boundary where it went out and play the 4th shot, not the 3rd, like they are doing now.

@@Hjhunainshisnsjsusnsn I’m trying to get him to shorten his swing so he can re learn the swing and forget the old swing. Baby steps here. Once he forgets the old swing path he can start fresh.
