Those people are just idiots and obviously don’t know how handicaps are formulated. 99% of golfers wouldn’t sniff 100 here, let alone with this wind. @alexlindsey6446 You must not be from up north. Playing on Lake Michigan adds like 10MPH or more, why do you think they call Chicago the Windy City. I grew up north, and I’ve camped Lake Michigan a ton of times. The wind around the lake is terrible, and you can hear it howling in the video and see the ball move 20 or 30 yards sometimes, and even move the balls on the greens 5-10 feet extra, but thanks for looking at nearby towns, I guess. To be fair, I don’t know if it was 30, it was an estimate, and the pin placements were nasty, the number of putts that had 5 or more feet of break and were basically impossible should’ve told you everything you need to know, but either way, at least know what you’re talking about.

@@FeldubbI hate to be the one to break it to you, but many historians think the nickname 'the windy city' actually came from the fact that Chicagoans were always blabbing about how their city was better than New York City. So the New Yorkers started calling it the windy city because it's inhabitants were always blowing hot air. You can look it up. Chicago is nowhere near the windiest city in the United States, by the way.

At 17:30 Gareth’s third shot ! First look at the ball no divot next to the ball, but when we see him adress to the ball there’s a divot next to it. Guess first try wasn’t good enough 🤣🤣

Would you like them to include all the practice swings so we van have a 5 hour video instead of a 2.5 hour. Is the same as them not including them fixing their divots in their videos. Just chill and enjoy the video

30:01 why is a high handicapper trying to play a "little 2 iron"?? LMAO
@Jhack2 ай бұрын
Cos he isn't a high handicapper. Bad compared to the others here but better than most. 100% single figure cap. He shot in the 70s at pebble beach.. I'm a 6 handicap and shot a 92 there

If you’re putting cards in for your handicap you should be playing proper rules - i.e. no gimmes and no drops in the fairway for a 1 shot penalty if you lose a ball!
@johnwalsh15072 ай бұрын
You aren’t allowed put them scores in, if it’s wet and the course has preferred lies your scores does not count for your handicap
@JimN1092 ай бұрын
@@johnwalsh1507I didn’t even mention that but you’re wrong. Preferred lies are permitted as long as they are sanctioned.

I’ve been lucky enough to have played the Straits Course twice in my life, and somehow lucked out to having winds maxing out at 2mph and 4mph. An absolute stunning walk if any of you get a chance to make it up the Wisconsin coastline to play it, and I hope that you have the same conditions that I played in. These gents were in for a long one that day.
