It was a great way to start the millennium, especially after the Y2K panic. The only thing I might change about the show is adding an explanation for why the Krelboynes stopped making appearances, like they got accepted into the school that Hal made Malcolm turn down. Once they were gone, he became more angst-filled, but, I believe that side of his behavior was necessary to see as well

The whole family saw that look in Lois's eye and expected her to do something epic about being wronged.. because that's how Lois operates, and they all were ready to have her back. But when when they heard her cry instead... hiding in defeat. They knew that these people needed to pay.

Aunt Amelia: 1:24: "Oh, God, more drama from that woman..." (sniff) 2:07: "The cake! The cake! THE CAAAAAAAAAAAKE!" Every snob who grouses about how sick they are of the little people's whining deserves to have their cake stepped on.

Not one of them bothered to rescue the cake (or attempt it). Getting hit by a slow moving golf cart isn’t going to seriously injure or kill you. But these rich pampered snobs aren’t used to doing any lifting or even taking action.

Gotta love the calm fury. Coming from a family whose primary means of communication seems to be screaming, the pensive silence this act was perpetrated with speaks volumes higher of just how infuriated they are than anything else they could've done would have.

I love this. This is like a big brother instinct, as in "We are the only ones who can mess with Mom". And then take the fall for her. And get chewed out by her for it. With all the pranks, psychological games and meltdowns this series had, this is the best scene out of it. It declares unbroken, undying support, even though none of the family members would ever admit it.

I love how in an instant it went from Lois being in charge to the boys being in charge. Lois tried soooo hard to just fit in and be good enough for Hal's family, and the second Hal's family united to gang up on Lois the boys gang up to bring chaos and destruction. Easily my favorite moment from the whole show.

ya don't understand how much I fuckin love this show, and this scene? a freakin chef's kiss- the boys backing up for Lois, Piama being in for it, the boys' wrecklessness, their 'calmness' and coolness while doing all those from their march to the whole thing, the pop punk/punk rock/pop rock bgm, and Hal being obviously proud- aaaaaaaA
@flair5418 ай бұрын
I think one of my favorite little bits is that "More drama" line. You can sense the boys about to make some kind of excuse, say something of some sort... Then they say something so cold hateful all of them change expressions between shots. You feel them instantly go from confusion to "War has been declared. Get the nukes!"

Greatest moment in in MITM. Really shows how much they are a family despite what they say about how much louis pisses them off. Ran off pure instinct to protect their mother. And Hal’s smile of pride when Lois is telling them off is so subtle but perfect 🙂💙
