The video you were looking at I'm not sure what the quality of shot was, but deflecting (Counter-Falling) far enough to be visible is very easy to pull out of even if the swing is slightly off balance forwards. What you should be looking for is if he is moving around his heels. The edge of the body (back in the heels) is what will allow for the free moving rotation. Most good players get back there in different ways, but the most effortless players stay closer to their heels throughout the swing.

Great to hear it and your very welcome. Once you start to feel how you can relax your arms and gain freedom through your rotation, one of the next big steps is learning how to consistently move into the Counter-fall. This is best done through a posture that works over the back of the legs as all times and back in the heels as far as you can go(this will make you have to stand closer to the ball). Watch to make sure you front knee doesn't move forwards at the top of the swing. Take it easy!

@apptrail007 - Thank you for the complement. I believe Freddy Couples back problems to be unrelated, you will even hear him say that "it is not when he is swinging that it hurts."

Practice droping your arms to your side without a club, then with the club in one hand and then the other. Get used to your arms dead falling and then drop both of them on one side of you body. When the arms get to the top and start to deadfall the counterfall and turn will do the rest.

@prosticks Its true the club is releasing through impact, but the body carries it to that release point much easier than hands and arms by themselves. It also helps when you keep the hands out of it to release at the latest possible point.

I ordered these books and tapes years ago... they really work- I don't want my playing partners to discover them though... I shot 3 under for 9 holes after trying this system a few weeks... also had a career long drive of 439 yds. and my best score is 64... so pick them up- they work...........

How are you playing today with gravity golf?

Easy to understand but hard to execute. And I've watched all the videos on here numerous times. I looks great though!

I don't think Couple's back trouble is due to his technique. The "gravity golf" type of swing puts the least stress on the body in my opinion. This is one reason players like Miller Barber had great success in his later years while on the Senior Tour, and enjoyed good distance with minimum stress on the body. Freddy at 50 can bomb it with the "young guns." Gravity players don't loose much distance as they age, while those like Arnold Palmer, who used upper body force, experienced a big fall off.

I like Gravity golf and the way to move. But to call it a system based on physics and biomechanics is not right, sorry. It is impossible to use the power of your body mass through impact. The energy transfer through the body, shaft and grip is taking much more time than the time the ball is in contact with the club. I have felt the "heavy hit" myself and use the Gravity method but some of the things you say isn`t correct. The method works great but your explanations isn´t correct.
