I only started golf 2 years ago this my 2nd season, Weak fades always unless I catch one perfect having that occasional good day, spent lots of money on lessons practiced a lot and just stuck. I watched this yesterday along with the driver video suggested after this video, saved both them and went to range and hit 2 large baskets, in all those balls I hit every club in the bag and had about 3-4 4 irons that faded/sliced and 2 drivers faded but still nice. 9 iron or lower straight ball flight or baby draw 8 iron up 3-5 yard draw with a couple hooks to in there but would definitely playable. Best videos I ever watched I have deleted every video I ever watched and any swing thought I ever had and just doing this all year. Thank you. Have a round today usually shoot low 90s high 80s can not wait to see what happens today

I can't say enough about this video. I had a terrible slice that I've worked into a moderate slice. After watching this video I'm still not quite getting a true draw but i'm actually hitting the ball directly instead of slapping across it. Just smashing straight and slight draws. It's made a huge difference off the tee for me. Thank you so much, I cannot thank you enough.

Guys, Im 19 years playing the game, always hovering from 17-23 hcp. Losing shots getting back into position off the tee with a slice. Took these tips changes my Shoulder alignment, shallow angle and the upright follow out of the club , combined with that wrist movement that NOBODY Has ever shown me in years of golf lessons. Thank you very much, I will be putting this in use and using the driver more than 3 wood. Maybe you have content to do the same with the irons! Cheers Gavin, Ireland

Hi Eric I want to thank you and Steve for your video today. I am a long time subscriber to your channel. I took your simple guidance to the golf course today and my driver was transformed. I still couldn’t hit a draw (probably because I can’t get the exit path correct) however no no more slices or even fades - dead straight and consistently more distance than before. 80% straight 20% low hooks. Thanks again to you and Steve. Best Nick

Tried this at the range today. OMG! This works through the entire bag. Driver thru chipping. I am a 6 handicap who really struggles off the tee. Two way miss with good distance. Immediately starting hitting straight and draw drives. A good deal of hooks as well. Excited to modify this a bit to tame the hooks. Thanks Cogorno Golf.

Just wanted to put this out there. I’ve messed around with stack and tilt. I modified some of it, little bit of Bryson and Hogan. I watched my handicap go up to 9.0 after being a 3.7 after getting lessons to bring my hands higher. I shot 3 under on a practice round. I hit my first drive 320 with roll out and it was an uphill fairway. Finding the distance with my irons again and they’re pretty straight and I can fade and draw if I need to. It’s just simpler for me. I pitch that way and kinda putt with a strong grip and it all worked out good. I played in high school and afterwards. Like I said, I was taught a modern swing recently and I could put together a decent round but just not consistent enough to trust it.

Great video. I’m going to go to the range today to try to implement this lesson. I do have one question that I did not hear or maybe I missed it, was aiming or foot position. Are setting up dead straight to the target line or are you aiming slightly right? Also, are you slightly closed, or feet straight to target line? Thank you and great video.
@CogornoGolf Жыл бұрын
Thanks Michael! I'd recommend setting up square to the target initially and then adjust to have the body/stance-line SLIGHTLY closed. So set up square and then drop the trail foot back 2-3" and close the shoulders..this can help facilitate a draw. This is because it encourages more body rotation in the backswing (and therefore, more depth of the hands/club)...with more depth, it's easier to swing from in to out for a draw. Hope this helps!

I tried this on the range and on the course this morning and as a lefty most of my shots with the driver were pushes to the left. I had two drives on the fairway. If you try to hold off on the club with the hands high, for me, it resulted in a push. Others videos I have watched recommend the head of the driver to be closing on the follow through.

Awesome guys. Having a more natural slight fade I find it easier to play a true push draw with Driver by putting the ball a hair back but then it's hard to hit the high draw to carry a hazard. I'm glad you didn't mention changing ball position (which encourages a fade or pull draw) but just set up and inswing to alter the flight. Will try!
