Golf MK7 GTI: Ebay Front splitter install || GTI mods - Is it worth it? (DIY)

Today, we install a cheap Ebay gloss black front splitter to the Mk7 Golf GTI! I personally prefer the look to this over the Maxton ones as this seems a little but more aggressive. Lets see if it stays on 😂

Did you keep the old side lips on PLUS the new front lip or did you remove them? I can’t tell because of your paint job. I’m thinking of ordering a eBay lip like that just because I lost my side one on the highway . I don’t need another set . Just need the side piece but rather go with this instead

I have what looks like the same item off eBay. Are there existing holes in the bottom of the car that you need to line up for the screws, or do you just drill into the metal or whatever is touching the splitter?

There should be no pre existing holes in the bottom of the car as this is an aftermarket add on. You just have to line up the splitter visually and screw / drill it in directly to the metal :) I used an electric screwdriver and it went right though so didn't even need a full on drill.

Is there any drilling required before installation or is there already pre drilled holes in the bumper mate ?

The bumper has no pre drilled holes, but the splitter comes with the holes in place. So you can literally just line it up, and put the screw through the splitter holes and screw it in, it'll just make new ones easily

Avoid buying this at all costs and jjst but a proper one, mines snapped after a day of having on doing 70mph and all of a sudden just snapped and flew off
