Golf plus really is very good. I had to stop so i could get back into real golf, but once i get my actual swing back ill play again. Throughout quarantine i only did vr golf, and the weightlessness of the contrillers conpletely screwed up my real golf game. However, ive heard others say as long as you do real golf just as much, its completely fine

I play this 2-3 hours every single night almost for the last year. It’s insane once you calibrate it properly and play only pro v2 settings. I stay between +2 and +13 hcp and scramble is coming soon. Using that same attachment I’ve lined it up and it drastically helped me with my swing path and understanding.

It does def help you with the swing path, i use only the right controller in my left hand, and its awesome.. but when i go back to real golf it takes 60 shots to get the feel back of hitting a ball

It's cool seeing someone review this that can actually golf. Usually its someone getting it and reviewing miniature golf or swinging it like a toddler and not that excited at all about it. But seeing it used in the right hands gets you hyped about it! Hawk Tuah!

I might have to give this a try. I have a Quest 2 with a weighted club adapter and it is just 'ok'. I hate to say it but my real swing wasn't showing up in the game like it in real life. It actually screwed up my swing and I played in real life if I hit around with it one or two days before hitting a real course. This one is a bit longer and may actually correlate better with real swings. I might wait until the winter because I do believe that you should be out playing golf but it might be nice to have as an option in the winter. I haven't fired Golf Plus up in about five months, maybe I will try it out again this fall.

Happy for any community responses here. From a VR novice: Is this a space where you could take this set up and practice your actual golf swing (replace the driving range) or is it not there yet? Love the idea but my worry is you practice here then add 10shots on the course.

I’d say it’s “easier” in VR still. It’s a close as you’re going to get at the moment. In pro (hardest difficulty) I got a lot of similar shot shapes. Distance was different but feel you can learn from this! Especially path and face on the hardest difficulty level!

How realistic are distances and effect? Do virtual shots go the same distance as in real life? I would like to know if I can use this instead of having to go to a practice area for swing practice.

I've golfed most of my life and when I first jumped into this game I thought the distances from the tee to the hole looked enormous. Par 4 looked like it should be a par 7 lol. I can hit balls in this game way better than I can in real life though. Some people say the game messes up their real life swing.

If your setup has a buttonbox, get Reality Mixer and you could set it so that you can see your buttonbox, using the cameras of the quest.

I much prefer golf 5. The graphics are stunning in comparison. The mechanics, although improved are lacking on golf 5 compared to golf +. If only the mechanics guy from golf + and the graphics guy from golf 5 could somehow bang heads together, youd honestly have the perfect game 💁‍♂️

Al, you need to get a BOBOVR S3 PRO strap it'll make the headset way more comfortable. I love my DEADEYE Elite I use the steal shaft myself. Let's get together and play some rounds together. I just got my first VR about 3 months ago and it's unbelievable. Lol I'm even older than you

@alexetchesgolf sounds awesome!! I'd be down to play. I have 3 of the B100 batteries which I really only needed 2 and the charging dock is awesome to have. If you do or plan on traveling with your Q3 check out the BOBOVR C3 case also. If you're looking to get a comfortable facial interface check out OBLIK they're custom 3d printed for your face. I'm a BiG head guy myself so finding comfortable ones is hard. It's well worth the money. Idk if they're shipping overseas yet or not though. The KKCOBVR K3 isn't a bad option if they don't ship your way.

Great video, love Golf+, but DO NOT ADVISE TAKING THE QUEST OUTSIDE. Getting sunlight in the lenses will damage whole thing. The instruction manual has a section about NOT using it outside.

Very clear. Especially on the quest 3. The quest 2 looks fine as well but has what they call a sweet spot where you have to have your eyes centered on the lenses to get a fully clear image, but the 3 has a new lens design that makes it clear throughout and it can be adjusted to line up with your eye position.

You’re not an idiot! The best thing about it is you just need a headset regarding gameplay. No console or tv needed. Regarding the game, you buy it on the Meta store which is all inbuilt in the headset too. The only extra thing is buying the club part at Deadeye VR which is no required but as mentioned, makes a huge difference

Can I also add, just having got my Q3 as a 61yr old, what you see on any of these videos, just doesn’t and can’t do justice to the actual experience wearing the headset!! Great video I’m currently trying to get my friend to get one - we used to play golf once a week but now live in different countries - so this Is a great fix, unfortunately no walking between holes or beers on the 19th!

The only difference in VR golf games and for myself playing a real golf course, is we don't do all the walking between shots. Which the only thing we get is the swing exercise and no walking. Reading VR golf greens are not realistic to me, but again, it is better than nothing . I have a Quest 3 and for me it is a good winter time activity if I want to do some indoor golfing. I don't take these VR golf games very serious and is still not like swinging a real club and making contact with the ground on a real golf course in the summertime. Take care.

@hozzlerocketsempi2674 some people it takes a little longer than others to get used to it. It took me about 35 hours. I used to be only able to play for about 30 minutes and then gradually a little longer each time. Hope this helps.

I had the golf club vr for pc with oculus a few years ago and it was amazing but as you said it killed my real swing , made a real club feel strange and I then chunked everything . If it was realistic you would start with 2 pars and start to think about beating your on record and finish with you walking up the 16th wishing you could teleport to your car 😂😂😂
