I absolutely love this Coach! This is so fascinating and insightful to see James work with you and your adjustments. I like the suggestions considering that they’re all kind of “big muscle” adjustments. I feel like either way you go the control will come so much easier. Now…off to the range!

Another save to my ‘tips’ folder! 😂 Agree that there is a fair bit of ‘world’s best short game coach’ content around, but the difference with these is that James explains what is appropriate for YOU to try and WHY - and you try more than one option. All the others are ‘do it this way,’ which is fine if the viewer’s tendencies correspond with those of the “pupil” but too prescriptive otherwise. These lessons with James are much more informative. Mind you, I realise you need to be able to understand the details of technique that James is talking about, so it might be too complicated for some viewers . . . still, anyone can appreciate the chemistry between you two, and that makes for brilliantly watchable videos.

Really interesting. Great content coach! James is clearly the expert on short game, explains things really well and has a great sense of humour. Keep collaborating with James please. BTW nice kitchen. Were you shoving a load of laundry in while making the video and does that chore get you any brownie points with the Mrs?
@CoachLockey11 ай бұрын
Haha laundry is constant with a 3 month old and a 2 year old 😂 James is brilliant and very knowledgable indeed. I will definitely be doing more with him.

That's fascinating. I'd love to know how different it felt, having learnt to pitch 55+ years ago. I absolutely understand what James is saying but im intigued to know, whether you're pitching tbe ball better now? Fascinating stuff! Having been recently coached on and "up & down" swing myself, this is fascinating! Did it work for you and, most importantly, are you still doing it?

Was wondering what's the best way to judge distances on short non full shots from the pitching wedge down to 60degree? I'm using the lead arm to 9 o'clock with the four clubs is there a better way same with chips thanks in advance 👍

This clearly shows how important it is to see a pro and not use youtube to learn as the tips are based around your own swing. Great advise he gave you and was easy for you to adopt.

Great intro. Haven't watched the video yet, but suggestion for intro sign-off. Current: "It's time to take your pitching to the next level." Suggested: "It's time to take your pitching out the kitchen'!"

Dr. Kwan: "Throw the hands." An arm/shoulder dominate swing will create an unnatural plane/path. Throwing the hands first, will establish the natural clubhead plane/path and then gravity takes over.

James in very very knowledgable and works with the best players in the world. In regards to the title, unfortunately you have to play the youtube title clickbate game.

I still don't understand how you hit the ball low, yet use the bounce of the club to interact with the ground.
@CoachLockey11 ай бұрын
You won’t be using the bounce when pitching. You will have more than 10 degrees shaft lean

will never click on or watch another one of these videos because of the fake "live button" if people are dishonest in the small things, then they can't be trusted in anything.
