You answer things no other instructor even mentions. I've always felt like they assume I already know things so they gloss over. What a breath of fresh air. Thanks so much

Thanks for the reminder about the ulnar deviation. Getting that left hand in the proper position at address helped keep me from hooking the ball and also got my chipping back on track.

Thanks Todd for the video I get it now and my golf swing is improving every time out. I watch all you video’s and all your training aids. My back is great, I can practice everyday and before with 2 plane swing I had take 2 days off.

Well, I watched your excellent explanation last night. Then went out and golfed today using the proper set up and grip. Wow, I shot 1 over par, 73 which happens to also be my age. I’ll be sending my card to GGA to add this to my Hall of Fame portfolio. What a great lesson, thank you. Oh, I used my new BioMech also. Love it and all you do.

What a great video. My lead hand was completely wrong. Too much in the fingers and not enough against the heel pad. Went to the range, made the adjustment, and had the best day in months. Now to work on not rushing my swing. Thanks Todd!

Thanks to Todds video's I've been adopting this swing for a month. I now pause at the top of my back swing momentarily. I am then aware of the club's position on the thumb. This has stopped me over rotating and ensures a relaxed, unstrained upper body before the down swing. I then have only one swing thought on my mind. That is moving my hips onto the lead foot. Has transformed my ball striking.

6 weeks into changing my 30 year 2 plane to a Moe single plane. Did not know how important the lead hand thumb really is, until now. I can do this. Todd, thanks for giving me hope!

This! This is exactly what I needed to see. Thanks, Coach! I've been going back in your blog (which is fantastic, btw) and looking at the pictures of your positions with notes and realized I didn't have my trail ring and middle fingers in the correct place, which you confirmed here. But I never would have figured out that I had the lead hand totally wrong and too much in my fingers. Thanks again!

Glad this video helped. Once you get the neutral and correct lead hand, things get easier.

Great video. If you know the setup, and hands are correct its huge. I think the biggest frustration is when you start hitting bad shots and don't know what you are doing wrong. I was hitting my irons left and i fixed it by watching this video and the trail hand video. Thanks Todd.

I've been working on the single plane swing for the last two weeks and it's incredible. I wish I found you seven years ago because my GIR, FIR and consistency are improving dramatically. I'm in Canada and doing a winter golf school, I know I'm going to have to justify the single plane swing, thanks for giving me the knowledge to explain myself.

I've been binging these videos all week and loving them! Question (I have many but we'll start with one)..what lie angle (toe up, down, flat) are we supposed to strive for on the irons? Follow-up question would be is there a check point to verify that we have it correct? Maybe there is a video already but I haven't found it yet. Thanks again for all the help!
@ToddGravesGolf3 жыл бұрын
Aj. Lie angle of the irons is based on you - and custom fitting based on your height, arm length, etc. You want the club to sit flat on the ground as much as possible.

Thanks for the videos and instructions. Just tried this swing at the range yesterday. It feels so much better to me. I never could just hold the grips lightly and relaxed. I believe in the single plane swing. Now I just have to perfect it and repeat.

Todd, the beauty of this is that if you get the pre shot details correct, you don't have to "manage" your swing. The game becomes so much more interesting when you don't have to play "golf swing" and can play golf :)

Hi Todd, I am really enjoying all your videos. Thanks. I am used to having a grip with interlocked hands, so my right hand little finger and my left hand index finger are hooked into each other. It feels very comfortable, but do you think it is a grip that will work in the SPS setup?

2 Questions: 1). Are Todd Graves' grips tapered or full? I was recommended my grips to be 4 full wrap. 2). There is a bone between the wist and the hand's palm. Is the grip under the bone and into the pad or is it above that little bone and into the pad.
@ToddGravesGolf3 жыл бұрын
Grips are Tapered. Into the pad, under the lifeline.

I have similar size hands to you. I noticed there is a lot of space left in the hands when I put the handle across the heal pad. This leaves me wondering what to do with my fingers and I struggle to get them to put pressure on the handle. In fact the fingers in my left hand are often in a degree of pain. Do you think it’s worth considering getting jumbo sized grips on all my clubs?

To Mr. Graves who with Mr. Mo Normans help and a lot of years of hard work, a remarkable teaching ability and an excellent system to learn from...my question is why are there not more world class players doing this? It's been around awhile now and why does Bryson spray the ball all over the lot if it's so consistent...IN closing with all the respect in the world RIP Mr. Pipeline.

I was struggling with getting my lead arm in the rod position…and I do mean struggling, until Trent observed that I might not have my heal pad resting on top of the club grip. I tweaked it a bit and what a difference. 👍

Been experimenting with this swing for a few years now with a bit of success but always go back to conventional when I absolutely have to play good golf (shaping shots, short game, etc). Main question I have is why is there not a single successful pro player that uses this technique to make a living?
@chrisb5943 жыл бұрын
You would never need to shape shots unless you were a PGA golfer. There is very little, if any benefit at all. Byson is the closest to a single plain golfer but there will be a few coming through in the next few years, just wait and see.
