I have been ploughing through all your videos. So much great content to digest but all of it against a humorous backdrop. I love it. You make it all so easy to understand but still cover the intricacies (is that even a word). The slice fix regarding the wrist was something I’d never even considered and it cured me in one session. By cured, I mean I got it mentally immediately like a bolt of lightning without the unnecessary associated fire hazards. Mark and you have a fantastic on camera relationship, I catch myself grinning throughout. If Ant stacks his car one more time I want you two on my ITV Saturday night viewing. You’ve both made me fall back in love with a game I’d shelved many years ago due to work. Thank you Muppets, more more more.

Hi Mark. Pre-lockdown, my coach and I were working on the 20• closed face technique. Really resonated with me and began to make a huge difference to my swing path. Post-lockdown, my PuttOut has been my saviour. I’m practicing putts, 8 iron chip and runs and little PW shots on my upstairs landing. Hopefully, got a 5m putting mat arriving tomorrow!

I saw a video you did a while back with the hooded clubface at address, and I tried it for a few range sessions and it completely sorted me out. Now if I start leaking right again even mid-round I start twisting the face and re-gripping until I see the ball go left and then I revert. Great tip

I love this video. I have made very similar changes, I think about them slightly differently but I think the ideas are almost exactly the same. See what you think: 1. Hip turn - I think - turn around a line through my head and right heel & let hy right hip move back. 2. Hands deeper and face turned down - I think - left hand moves over middle of right foot. Mark has loads of amazing face control videos but I just played with wrist angles until I started squaring the face up to my new path. 3. Swing/start direction - I think - send the clubhead back down the same path it went back on. When you first do this it feels like you swing the clubhead to your right and behind you (Mark & Buzza have both talked about this before - start the swing towards the back right corner). This starts to feel very natural, up on a path down on a similar path. Another thing that helped me was to stand holding the club in a position where you think the clubhead should be just before it comes in to hit the ball (last parallel to impact). You'll think - this is not where my club is on the way down.

Great to have this short video. Means I can watch again at the range when we get going again. This is definitely something for me to try. My take away is good if not very good. My first movement in the transition is where I perceive my problem to be. It’s that it seems to come forward rather than down the same path as back swing.

I have a thought about the club face being closed at setup. While i do understand the concept and the action it SHOULD force you to do to counteract it. For me, i've found that if i setup with a closed face i tend to swing more to the left to cut the ball in, since the closed face feels like i would hook it. Likewise if i play a slightly open face at setup i feel i can easliy swing from the inside and push draw it to target, which is what im doing when i swing like that. BUT that might be cause i have a slightly strong grip?
@robbiegolding18314 жыл бұрын
Sir longtime fan and follower. I'm a lefty that struggles with slice left. The wrist bow has really turned my drives into beautiful draws. Unfortunately it has not translated into any clubs off the deck especially woods and hybrids. Can u give me some tips to get better contact and shape on those clubs ? Thanks Bruh!
