SMASH FACTOR GOLF COACHING

SMASH FACTOR GOLF COACHING

Күн бұрын

In this video Natalie Adams from Smash Factor golf coaching talks us through how to improve the initial movement in your golf swing, so that you can start your swing correctly. Your initial movement is absolutely crucial as this is the first link in the chain of our golf swing. If this movement is as good as it can be all the other connecting links have a great chance of following on for you to make the best possible backswing and downswing. This drill will get you moving better so that you don’t then have to make compensations to get the club head back to the golf ball.

Another great video. The multiple camera angles of the swing were so helpful. You did another video with the resistance band a while ago. I still think of that key when I golf today. It reminds me to keep the my arms from collapsing and to get a full swing.

Great review of the backswing Natalie! Keep the videos going. I have been working on your drills since my last online vide lesson with you. I have been killing my driver, however, still struggling with pulls with my short irons.? Greg

This is everything Brian Sparks of easiest swing in golf claims is in correct. I’ve tried swinging like this for 25 years and never improved because it created so much tension I would be stuck at the top of the backswing. I would then start my downswing with my arms because I was so stiff and stuck id hit it left. I now swing with tension free natural movement turning shoulders and hips without resistance. I play so much better and no longer have back ache playing golf. Oh and I’m 49 years old.

Hi Natalie. For years when I've taken my backswing my left arm ends up horizontal to the ground. When I make my move down I notice my nozzle is to the ball and I shank. For about 3 weeks now ive taken my arm back to a much more verticle position where my hands end up closer to my rt ear. Holy tea and crumpets Natalie now I strike the ball beautiful. What am I doing rt.?
@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING

it sounds like the bigger backswing gets you more on the inside so when you swing back down the club head is less on the outside

Hi Natalie , off to buy a band 👍🏻 love this drill . Could you do it the other way as well ? Band on right foot to practice arms straight after impact which I’m finding really hard to get right Thanks Keep up the great vids 🏌🏻‍♂️👌🏻
@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING
@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING 4 жыл бұрын
hi yes absolutely you can do this, but you will be struggling to staighten your arms through impact due to a timing/sequencing issue between your body, hands/handle and club head

The hand path during the takeaway confuses me. Some videos show the hands going straight back parallel to the target line and others show the hands going inside towards the right thigh. Could you explain which is correct? Thanks.
@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING
@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING 4 жыл бұрын
Great question! You don’t swing on a straight line, it’s an arc. However by looking at part of that arc you can create partial straight lines. So technically it depends how far the hands move along their path as both are correct depending upon the distance travelled. But if you are thinking takeaway is hands travelling say 2 ‘ then for that distance hands should move towards the right thigh

Hi David nothing is like is free 🤣🤣. Regarding the weight, go for a medium resistance but it does depend on how strong you are.

I’ve been very inconsistent with my driver... my problem is I come in so steep at impact that I sometimes hit down on the ball. What would you recommend as a drill or procedure that will help me hit up on the ball and be more consistent.. thanks.
@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING
@SMASHFACTORGOLFCOACHING 4 жыл бұрын
do you know why your coming in step? is it that your hands are too far in front of your body so your releasing the club head down steeply? or are you swinging over the top to create the steepness? let me know if you know and I can advise you further
