Nice Review and yes if you have a Crappy Mat hitting on Simulator is less enjoyable and doesn't translate on Golf Course. True Strike is the best I have hit on but recently got the True Feel and it is a very good budget Mat. I have bought a couple 4 x 6 $100 Mats on Amazon and in a garage felt like you were hitting on Cement Floor.

I keep hearing the EZ Turf Hybrid is the best hitting mat. Its exclusively used by trackman studios and PXG fitting sims. Theres not much youtube content on it, but im pretty sure thats what im goin with. I love that you can use a normal tee in it
@golfdynasty Жыл бұрын
looks like a great option. ill have to try it out. its nicer than the real feel tuft because you can sink the tee to whatever height you want. thats one of my complaints about real feel turf.

@golfdynasty Жыл бұрын
it depends on what you want to get out of it but for most uses its an excellent product. i personally only use it for the floor covering because its too firm to use as a hitting mat but i think most people would find it perfectly fine as a hitting mat

@@golfdynasty do you think it would be a better idea to get a cheap mat, cut a hole in it and get the gosports tri turf xl instead? How many mm tall is the tri turfs foam pads?

Good video thanks for insight. I am installing a simulator in my garage. I have used the Go sport tri turf and have used it with my golf net. I will be looking at installing astro turf in a 10 foot by 10 foot. will I need to set up a right side and left side for mat. I am thinking of using these as inserts. Thanks for your reply
@golfdynasty10 ай бұрын
keep in mind that the launch monitor has to be set up behind the spot where the ball sits so its important to think of how you will use it most often. if you plan on having left and right handed players using it for the same round of golf then you are best off having the hitting matt centered with turf on either side of it. having the setup centered around right handed players simplifies your setup a bit because you only need to have turf on one side of the hitting mat like i have in my setup. i hope this helps

Hi, great video. I’m not sure which strip you recommend the most. I have a Go Sports Pro 5x4 and as a hitting mat it’s completely useless for me on my MLM2PRo sim setup. I just can’t get consistent readings with the club bouncing off it all the time. Which one would you recommend? Thanks, David.

Hello, when hitting fat, does the Go Sports Tri Turf slow a lot and deviate the trajectory like with real turf ?
@golfdynasty9 ай бұрын
yes definitely. the launch monitor reads the actual speed of the ball so when you hit the mat first you will lose a ton of momentum and change trajectory just like on the course

Great video. Started with the Rukket / Haak tri-turf mat and then partnering standing mat. Great concept but the mat moves every time you hit and it’s super awkward visually. I had be deciding between a full 5 x 5 mat or something like the replaceable hitting area, this video sold me. Thanks

When you are talking about the putting green sheets to cover the floor service but then you mention that you said it will be uneven with the hitting mat. I am not quite sure how you make everything even. If you have the hitting mat with the three different surfaces ( fairway , rough, deeper rough), you would just put that on top of the putting sheets wouldnt you? and if you put, just move the hitting mat? You say you can put a filler pad to make it even, but the video still shows you putting the hitting mat on top of the putting sheets. What is the actual setup there?
@golfdynasty Жыл бұрын
those are some valid questions - you can make everything even by buying padded putting mats that match the thickness of your hitting mats or by adding something under the different surfaces to make everything even. in the video i was placing mats over the putting surface for the sake of testing different mats but my permanent setup has all of the hitting mats level with the putting surface. i should say that it doesn’t necessarily have to be all level - thats just a preference thing.
@edgarherrera89 Жыл бұрын
@@golfdynasty thank you for the response. Do you separate the 3 hitting surfaces and put them in an insert on the surface? Or is the insert large enough to fit all three hitting surfaces?
@golfdynasty Жыл бұрын
@edgarherrera89 in my current setup i have two mats next to each other and for one of them i had to cut out a section of my putting mat so it fits into it without moving around. you might be best off buying the mat that you like the most and make it fit into your setup
@edgarherrera89 Жыл бұрын
@@golfdynasty gotcha! Or to your point, get the putting carpet and put some padding underneath to make it as even as possible.

I have the CC elite, real tees become flying weapons and you have to be careful if you have a sitting area behind the tee box. I also find it grabs the club too much, If you chunk the ground it’s painful. By the end of 18 holes my arms are sore, I’m not a great golfer but I’m looking for a more forgiving mat.

@@Jord_45 yeah. I noticed if you hit your shots heavy it can be a little jarring on your wrists. Check out Carl's place. They have their own mats now. Can't speak to the anti fatigue factor but it's worth a shot

Hitting off mats are a damn scam. You can’t hit down on mats, that’s why you never see pros hitting off them
@PastrahmyАй бұрын
Most of these mats are over an inch thick and pros definitely don't take 2 inch deep divots. The problem is when amateurs start banging the club down crazy steep because it makes the ball jump up and give them better contact than topping it. Someone who strikes the ball well is fine off quality matts.

very true. what i really meant is that hard turf doesnt have any give to it so if you hit it anything but perfect it will cause your club to twist open, have you top the ball or both
