GOLFER PLAYS WITH A HANG OVER! Will he be better or worse?

In this video Liam Harrison takes on slightly hungover Captain Ebay Pete Johnson in 3 hole match at Bamburgh Castle Golf Club which was founded in 1904 by Lord Armstrong of Bamburgh and Cragside, with the support of his friends, after the failure of two earlier courses on the links between Bamburgh and Seahouses. The course was opened on 18th August 1904 with a tee shot struck by Lord Armstrong’s 10 year old daughter, Winifreda, followed by a lunch and a competition.
Initially the course was 4,282 yards, with a bogey of 80. Although the opening and closing holes were similar to today, the course was squeezed onto less land than now and therefore had a different layout.
Today’s players can therefore relate their score to an early course record of 66, set in 1928 by the club pro (and later Secretary), Harry Gibb, a very impressive score given the equipment and conditions at the time. The current record is 62, scored in 2012 by member Garrick Porteous, 2013 Amateur Champion. The professional course record is 60, set by George Cowan of Westerhope GC.
There have been some lengthened holes, landscaping improvements and partial extensions over the years, including the creation of a car park in 1938. The club now has a hard working and long serving green-keeping team - the two most experienced have almost 60 years of service between them - and a steward to run the clubhouse. In earlier times the club also employed a professional and a caddy master, with caddying an essential part of golf.

The worst hangover Iv'e ever had was a trip to France for the weekend. We had a late night and I can't remember having breakfast. We got to the course and had a bit of chip and putt, one of the guys said drink this beer hair of the dog and my god it worked. I felt great after a short time and I won the comp.

One Halloween I was at a friend's party, the tequila was flowing, in the morning, as I was driving to the course, I realized I wasn't even close to hung over. Yet. That came on hole 15.

@GoIf Mates I wanted to update you on my using the tip from "I gained 31 yeards" vlog. So I used the wide stance and lift the left foot for the entire round and it was incredible. I consistently flew the ball 240 (Normally 225 max) and drove the green (past the flag actually) that was 249yards to the center. This doesn't sound like much, but I will be 60 in 3 months. For some reason I actually GAINED more control than my standard swing and kept it in the fairway most of the day. This allowed me to use 2 clubs less, sometimes 3, on my approach shots and I had a great day. 👍 from me for this tip working.

Played Villa Martin in Spain. Still drunk from the night before. First hole nearly hit the golfers on another hole 100 yards left. Finished 36 points. That was in the 1980's. I was dart playing then as well so being drunk was common place. I could not even imagine it now.

Great vlog, the views were stunning. Ebay and Liam teed off at 10 a.m. Ebay apologized for been a little late and explained that he could not find his contact lenses so he had to use his old bifocals. Ebay put on his bifocals on and teed up his ball , after turning his head this way and that, proceeded to hit the best drive of his life. Ebays approach shot to the green was even better than his drive, leaving him a birdie putt that he poured into the middle of the cup. Ebay continued to play the best golf of his life, he broke 75 for the first time and won every bet. When they got back to the clubhouse after the round to celebrate and allow Ebay to buy the drinks. Liam began to press him to explain his new golf skills. Ebay said, it’s these old bifocals. When I put them on and looked over the top of the rim, I saw a little ball and a little club, but when I looked through the bottom of the glasses, I saw a big ball and a big club. But if I looked just right, I could see a little ball and a big club. So, I hit the little ball with the big club all day. And when I putted, it was even better, I hit the little ball into the big hole with the big putter. Well, Liam thought this was brilliant and had a few more drinks. After a while, Ebay excused himself to visit the men’s room. However, when he failed to return after a considerable absence Liam went to check on him. He found Ebay at the urinal with the front of his trousers soaking wet. “What happened?” Liam inquired. A tipsy Ebay responded, “I don’t know. I was standing here taking a leak and I looked down and saw two - one big one and one little one. I didn’t recognize the big one, so I put it back in my pants!”

Liam, address the ball with the club before taking your stance, a lot of the time you are stretching or are too close to the ball because you take your stance then either reach for it or are cramped up, put the club behind the ball then take a comfortable stance, love your videos hope this helps.
