Holy $h*t did I just hear someone actually say “we don’t know” in reference to something. Them magic words to me. You have my attention and I’m excited to follow your work.

Finally! Thank you for this breakdown Jon. I feel like everyone talk about initial setup...and top of swing position - and nooooooobody was providing information from halfway down to impact.

13:32 YES THIS! I just started golfing a few months ago but am hooked, to the point where I set up a golf simulator at my house. I lost my driver swing to the point where I would end up in other fairways consistently. Playing around on the sim, I tried this style of grip, and it worked instantly. Not only is my dispersion smaller, but I can swing wayyy harder. I hit 40 yards further than before AND with a straighter flight path. Its cool seeing you talk about this grip and explain why it working for me, it makes sense. Also cool having someone validate this grip that I figured out on my own, because it feels really weird at first, it feels like a lot of pressure and the club is locked in - which I heard is opposite of what you want, but its working really well for me.

The Richard Feynman technique for learning anything: 1: identify a topic 2: try to explain it to a 5 year old 3: study to fill in knowledge gaps 4: organize, convey and review True genius is the ability to simplify, not complicate. Simple is beautiful.

Really good I was blocking everything to the right. Really inside path but was closing the face. This gives me a few ideas! Thank you

Jon do you recommend the same release for irons as well?

I wish Jon had talked about how frontal plane torque helps the handle move up in and around before and at impact and how that allows golfers to speed up the clubhead and help manage the closing of the clubface along with the feels/technique he shared

Great information - thanks! I almost didn't get to it though, because the flickering from the Bud sign in the front on shot was so off-putting. Please consider turning it off for future videos. (Otherwise you could look at adjusting the frame-rate on that camera and maybe that could help cancel it out...)

So sick of watching old guys talking about better players and hitting only draws. Modern drivers can hit power fades all day long. Better players included are hitting more cuts than ever.

Because at the ball speeds they hit a ball, a fade can help generate spin that they lack with such low degree drivers. A hook with the low spin club setups they have on their Drivers is just so destructive. This is the total opposite for 99.9% of golfers. They need LESS spin, not more spin.

Maruman....not when you're clearing your hips and rotating efficiently with proper sequence
@Maruman_man18 сағат бұрын
@@Blue_Dun but many amateurs do not do that. Also gripping the shaft to stop the shaft cylinder from rotating is very much for a pro...this is on youtube for amateurs. While the center of mass is located where he said, the shaft cylinder has to rotate to square the face and release it. It doesn't flip around the COM..as he is describing. The COM just has to lag.

Hooks are you flipping your hands, clubbed past your hands before impact. Your interpretation is way off. (Feedback)
