designed my own for about 300$ years ago and about 12 feet....friends loved it. instead of air i used a notched system and bars that went underneath to the other side. also had auto return on made or missed putts long...anyway this looks nice except kinda short...

When you go beyond 10ft for putting you need a little bit of luck, or a real green!

You stand at a flat surface and putt on an inclined surface. For me it was hard to get the feeling on my feet to feel the break, that on the mat is non-existent. It would be revolutionary if you could stand on the same surface you are putting on. If you get good at this product, it will mess you up on the course, where you will feel the break/inclined of the green. It is as if almost a video game practice

I tried to do it at home (placing pillows under the putting mat, etc) without success...the only problem that I have is: if the slope is too wild, will there be enough space to successfully putt...? That would be my only concern, but otherwise it is what I have been looking for!

It's a great idea, but the valves, which let out the air, look like they are the cheapest variety, which doesn't last long. Maybe make it $ 100 more expensive and build it with more durable components.
@Sliceforlife4 ай бұрын
I wonder how much weight those airbags can hold, it would be great if you could use it to help feel slope percentages for those of us about to get screwed by winter
@Golficity4 ай бұрын
You definitely cannot stand on it without popping one of the bags.
@puttoutgolf4 ай бұрын
Hi @Sliceforlife, the load bearing capacity of the bags is 180kg / 395lbs so although AirBreak isn't designed to be stood on, nothing will break if you do happen to stand on it 👌

Can you walk on the putting surface? If you could, it would be a way to work on your aim point, which would translate to reading greens on the course. Otherwise, it might be OK to play with, but what are you learning to take to the course?
@Golficity4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately you can’t walk on it because the weight would damage the air bags underneath.

Hi Mike, additional sizes may well come in the future, however for the first in the range we were keen to find a sweet spot so it can easily be accommodated in the everyday golfer's lounge / office / play room etc. We've been selling flat mats for close to seven years and our Medium Mat (the same length at AirBreak) massively outsells our larger, wider mat, so it felt like the right size to launch with, whilst keeping an eye on making larger variants in the future.
@KayakFishingAddict2 ай бұрын
The FAQ says you can't stand on it (or shouldn't). I really want to so that I can train aimpoint express green reading with it. So that's a bummer!

Foot pad doesn’t get you close enough to ball, nor does it allow you to stand at the same level as the putting surface for different slopes as it is separate from the putting surface. Needs to be wider and longer imo.
@mjk-th2tm4 ай бұрын
This was my exact concern. I’d develop a habit of standing too far away from the ball rather than looking more over the ball. It would create poor putting mechanics.
@puttoutgolf4 ай бұрын
Hi JJ, the stand-on podium is actually adjustable with 2 sets of risers that are provided upon purchase. This means you can be level with the ball depending on the slope you choose to practice with.
