Thanks for the video. I did a similar but simpler fix to get mine working again. MUCH quicker than removing and reinstalling the motor 1. The location of the motor is up under the glovebox. My car had a foam flap with a single holding screw which had to be removed first before what you can see in the video is apparent 2. The issue was the teeth on the gears had jumped (due to a stone in the flap), so like in the video the motor could not turn fully 3. Set the car temperature to full hot or full cold 3. A simple fix - pull the gear that drives the flap out just 2mm so the teeth no longer engage. 4. Then rotate the gear so the flap matches the motor either full hot or full cold. (The spindle will keep it locked to the flaps when you rotate it) 5. Push the gear back in so it re-engages with the teeth and clicks into place 6. Re-calibrate the heating and cooling. Now when you adjust the car temperature, the gear and the motor should rotate through the full range of motion and not get stuck Much quicker and easier than this video

I have a gear that pops out from the motor. I will re-install it again but wondering what can be the cause. You have mentioned a stone blocking the flap.

The restrictor broke what stops the gear from spinning itself out. put it back and works good 👍🏼 thanks for the vid

i have clima manual no bizone and missing white flap on on right side below . it is normal? moreover when switch on high temperature i have only warn air on left side while on right not ,it is seems tepid what happen????

In my 2018 Tiguan the heat and ac seems to work okay but sometimes you hear "Clack, clack, clack, clack" from under the dash on the right side of the car. Sounds like this gear slipping while trying to drive the damper. Same issue you think?

It’s most likely the same things. I have an audi a3 and have the same issue. there’s another motor on the other side. It’s more complicated to replace and believe that’s the one for the footwells.

@BartNL yes i fixed it! Its best if you have vag com or vcds or something , it will tell you exactly which motor you beed to change. For my Passat B8 it was the one in the left side under the steering wheel towards the multimedia display. Pretty hard to do it by yourself but it's doable. If you dont want to do it , go to a repairshop

Hallo ich habe fast dasselbe Problem ich habe einen Golf 7 kombi bj 2016 mein Problem ist ich bekomme links und rechts kalte luft also die Klimaanlage funktioniert aber in der Mitte kommt keine Luft mir sagte man dass der stellmotor defekt sein ist dass der selbe Fall wie im Video und wie lange dauert es uns was würde es kosten in der Werkstatt vielen Dank

no because nobody can do that. Too difficult 😂 I read about it in forums. You have to remove an airbag to reach the flap motor.

@@SunnyFLBoy It's tricky but can still be done using only a 5.5mm open ended spanner to remove the mounting screws. No need to remove knee airbag.

Job is done , right motor flap not work properly replace with 2nd hand, calibrated normally, 45min work at all . OEM : 5Q0 907 511 L . Good Luck

Thank you for this clear video! 👍 It was very helpful. I found that white gear wheel on the ground in front of the passengers seat and the right dashboard ventilation grill would only stream hot air. I placed the wheel back and now it's solved. I hope it will stay in it's place.
