That is a monster Crane Jim , I`ll say this Trix sure make some good railway items , and they all seem to have working parts , that crane and its working parts are spot on , lifted the loco no problem

Thanks sim, i just love stuff like this it works almost like the prototype, theres so much detail on it, my plan is to automate a work sequence when i get the software for the p.c so it can control itself on a sideing just to show famaly & friends etc. Mega chuffed that now have aquired this item...thanks jim..

I curious, this crane can lifting a complete locomotive? I think example Br 211/212 or another loco.

Hi , Marklin have stopped making these cranes. You can still get them second hand on ebay. The prototype worked in Germany.

I moved to Canada from Denmark. We have finally started getting Marklin Trix and Heljan over here. Normally we had just American, Canadian and Japanese brands. I brought my N scale with me.

no..as I have digital command center...that box was used before digital command centers were available ....Jim

Mijia Josef change the wheel sets to trix two rail....they can be bought on ebay germany...jim

Why change? If you have the AC unit(marklin) just sell it to me, and just buy a new D.C. Unit (Trix) will be better! Else you void the warranty!

sparky107107 yes as its a highly collectable item..the new version is dcc sound..it works perfect ..I plan to automate this crane soon but it great fun to use manualy..

maybe you can help me. I just bought this crane. and it don't seem to work on NCE system. and under side has a metal pic up that looks to be for 3 rail. box says HO scale, .. product 49954. and no control system with this one either.

sparky107107 if the box says marklin then you have the three rail version.. you would have to mod it by changeing the wheel sets to two rail... it works via its on board dcc marklin chip ,functions for the boom control and then using the throttle .
