I think the dub would truly only work if tied to Voltron in some capacity. So, I’m thinking instead of the usual anime VAs doing the voices, they could utilize actors from both the original and reboot shows of Voltron for the dub.

Voltron & Golion had different origins. Golion's origin was similar to Thor's. He was ultimate warrior, powerful, & unstoppable. But he grew cocky & arrogant & had to be taught humiliation by the space goddess. When tried to go up against her, he lost, & she made it that he could only operated by human pilots in order for him to be activated.

Fun fact: This wasent supposed to be Lion voltron we know today ,daltanious was the actual lion voltron to become voltron 3 after vehicle voltron it was mistaken is either because the person calling forgot the name of daltanious and simply call it the lion mecha. They didnt sepcify which lion series it was or how it look, daltanious had a lion chest or the lion which had a human mecha to combine with. So Toei animation gave them the most criminally underrated lion mecha anime they made Go lion instead of Daltanious and to be honest this mistake made a beautiful outcome and Lion voltron was the most popular out of a 3 and what everyone pictured voltron today

Anyone else notice the weird inconsistencies in the coloring? When the green lion is running through the woods it has a red body and in some frames Voltron has a blue nose and in others the nose isn’t colored at all. I’ve noticed this with Voltron figures too; some times the nose is white, other times there’s a stripe of color down it 🤷‍♂️
