I am actually surprised they cost that much. Their reels are not that expensive, appreciate your review! You going to the day at the docks on Sunday in San Diego?
@BenjieKimFishing7 ай бұрын
Yea I had the same reaction given their power handles and such. But it was cool for me to see what “nice” pliers are like 👍 Unfortunately no, I won’t be at day at the docks. If you go, hope you have a blast!

Might be for me. I’m so tired of pair after pair after pair of pliers rusting even after I’ve treated them with rust protection and remover, and the rust anyway. As far as visually, very sharp and snazzy. Maybe I just don’t have a good look at it, but they look a little thin. But at the same time with better quality, less is more. Nice Review. 🔥👍🏻
@BenjieKimFishing7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback and comment, great observations! They're not any thinner than my regular pair imo, and these are 7" compared to 6.7" on my cheaper one. For me personally I wouldn't want them any thicker because smaller perch and croaker can already be a hassle for pliers this size. Tight lines!

@@BenjieKimFishing That is a good point. Fish with small mouths you can barely see past the pliers. Since it’s fairly common, that KZbinrs would have a discount code, let me ask is there a discount code lol? If your viewers were interested and purchased a pair, how would they know that the business came from this advertisement?
@BenjieKimFishing7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately no discount code on this one. I usually leave that up to the company.

@@BenjieKimFishing Meh,… not the end of the world. Anything beyond this point is kind of between you and them so I’ll just let sleepy dogs lie lol. So I’m not sure how I feel about this unit doubling as a split ring plier. They are ordinarily like three or four dollars for a pair. Just out of genuine curiosity of my own, what would you change about this pair if the choice was yours?
@BenjieKimFishing7 ай бұрын
Honestly not sure what I'd change, other than testing out the split ring portion I don't have any experience with them. I'm not terribly picky with my pliers...I just want them to stay rust/corrosion free. I actually really like the split ring feature, they're much easier for me to use than the other one's I've got. I have 1 super cheap pair and one slightly more expensive pair (lol) and these ones are easier to grab onto the rings. It's honestly not a big deal but I've been perseverating on the functionality of my split ring pliers for awhile now to the point where I was considering buying an expensive pair ($50/$60 range), so I'm stoked that these work well for me.

haha I feel ya Eugene! I was actually surprised that there's a pretty decent market out there of high priced pliers...the Van Staal pliers are almost $400!!

@BenjieKimFishing I've lost at least two or three pairs of pliers fishing so it will be $10 ones for me. 😃

I’d love some of these. I have one of their reels and it’s great but damn, $250 Australian is ridiculous! Especially if they get lost overboard!

They are beautiful but never would I ever spend that much money for a pair of fishing pliers. Buy some Amazon aluminum pliers and spend the rest on a sushi knife, where the quality actually matters.

Appreciate your feedback! Nothing is for everyone and these as an example is probably a bit more polarizing than your average product.
@dennyf57Ай бұрын
The reason for the price is because they are titanium which will never rust, if you saltwater fish you know the elements are your biggest enemy. Buy once or cry twice

Lucky to review haha! Was curious to see what makes these different compared to cheaper ones. Definitely very very nice but pricey, no doubt about it.

Great review but definitely not for me at this time.
@BenjieKimFishing7 ай бұрын
Absolutely not for everyone, I personally would've never considered such a price point but agreed to do a review out of curiosity and to see what the benefits might be. They are definitely very nice and a good option for those with the budget, but that's not gonna be the average consumer.
