I have been teaching for six years now. I started when I was a terribly shy barely-adult, so it's pretty cool to look back over the years and realize that I grew into my adult self (and left behind the crippling shyness) by pushing myself to speak with people in other countries. When I started teaching it was definitely just to earn income while I traveled, but I didn't realize how much I would learn about other people, asking good questions, developing charisma, and meeting people where they are at.
