The Menominee dumps directly into the Bay of Green Bay and Lake Michigan and could have catastrophic potential impact. Me must remain diligent in our fight to never let this mine come to fruition. A four-hour float down the Menominee River stirred up some trophy-size smallmouth bass -- and gave me a deeper appreciation for the natural splendor of the area where Gold Resource Corp. wants to build the Back Forty mine. Thanks to Bob Harrison and Scott Seymour for permission to film the adventure!

Bob is retired from the medical management field with the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He was one of the original founders of the Badger Fly Fishers, a conservation-based non-profit that has raised over $100,000.00 for habitat reclamation and improvement. Bob is also a member of the Wisconsin Smallmouth Alliance and Trout Unlimited. Bob has fished the Menominee River for 23 years and manages to fish at least 20 days a year on that magnificent river.
Scott is a recently retired attorney and executive of a Fortune 200 insurance company. He has written two books, “From Field to Fly” about fly tying, and “Return to Familiar Waters” about his lifetime of fishing on the Menominee and the threat the Back Forty mine poses to the river. Scott has also published several articles in national fly fishing magazines and is a member of Badger Flyfishers and the Wisconsin Smallmouth Alliance.
