Now You need to make a matching vignette where the hull without the turret sits in the woods and if You don't want to do the inside of the tank then put a fallen tree on it or make the tank overgrown with plants.

Anymore dioramas and your backyard will be down to bedrock. Awesome build, love these vignette vids (probably a little more than your full dioramas, weird huh?) and the potent concise story the viewer can glean from them (the UXB vignette is breathtaking). Cheers.

What I absolutely love in your videos is that models, effects and dioramas/vignettes that were on an impossible level of skill for me are decomposed and explained so well, that it becomes very clear how this and that should be done, and very easy to do. The rest is the matter of 'technical' skills. And my models that were made after I found your channel are a great confirmation of that :)

By far my favorite project you’ve done was the “cats and dogs” jagdpanther build. I know it was a long time ago now but it really shows the immense amount of detail you put into your builds. I’m not a modeler myself but i watch a lot of modeling channels and so far I haven’t seen anyone use a real life example of the power lines outside of their house for a model. I love your content and I’ve been watching for a while just thought I should comment this to hopefully give your day a boost. 💕

I’m very interested in model trains and these form of dioramas. I have been consider to do another diorama themed around my childhood favorite show. This will take practice as my first diorama was for a school essay and I made that 6 years ago. After that I haven’t tried anything else besides a temporary outside layout. So I think it would a fun thing to do this summer.

I wondered whether brushing hardener instead of Still Water into the uncurled resin would have helped. To give the plant leaves a three-dimensional look, paint half of each leaf with a lighter shade of green which tricks the eye into thinking that there’s a fold in the leaf.

I had small vaccum pump with integrated magnetic mixer in my past workplace. It even had cut off timer and alarm bell so you just left it for 5 min. But to be fair it still left bunch of air bubbles and we stopped using mixer pretty fast as doint it with plastic spoon was more reliable and you hadn't to clean it up at the end. Even large industrial cnc resign applier machine had issues with mixing and tightness on daily basis. Epoxy resign just sux. :P

I don't care what anyone says, you always thoroughly mix the resin and hardener first, then add your additives. I've been using epoxies building and restoring wooden boats for 30yrs. When I saw you mix the resin with the color, I knew that wouldn't cure correctly. The resin and hardener must create a molecular covalent bond first before anything else is added. It's just the way it works. Try experimenting with adding denatured alcohol to thin an epoxy mix. It will petrify anything it soaks into. Acetone will do the same thing, but will react with your Styrofoam.

Two tiny critiques I have (among a PLETHORA of praises) are these: The "roots" of the tree trunk look a little "janky" like an octopusian (if that's a word) alien, and the pants on the figure are a tad bit too bright and not blended softly enough into the shadows. The rest of this dio is MASTERFULLY DONE! The broken tree trunk looks sublime and the groundwork is outta this World (or EXACTLY LIKE this World!!). Yeah, the water effects along the edges of the base aren't perfect, but I think it looks fine. As usual, the blown off tank turret is a masterclass in armor modeling! What a perfect little diorama!!! I just found this channel and I've been binge watching around the clock. I think these are some of the best dioramas in the World!

Uncle nightshift. When 3d printing look up the arctan in degrees to remove layer lines. Use layer height / resolution. I.e. .035 layer height, by .035 resolution makes 45 degrees. Rotate the item 45 degrees horizontally and 45 degrees vertically and it will help reduce layer lines.

I like the stained wood panels on the sides of the base better than black. I use stained wood plaques on my diorama bases. I think it looks a little more professional and clean, although the black looks good too, and maybe even looks better on certain dioramas. Actually, with enough planning, you could use the black sides (of the built up groundwork) on TOP of a nicely framed plaque! Adding a brass nameplate or "Title" is cool too!

If the figures are both 1/35 scale but there is a little size difference, that shouldn't be a problem; military units are not sorted by height and width. One of the units I was in, the shortest guy was 5'5" and the tallest was a whopping 6'8". He had a LOT of trouble in our M2 BFV. So a little height difference can only add to the realism. But that's just my opinion. Beautiful build, but I've been watching you for years and I don't ever remember seeing you do a bad one. Cheers, and enjoy your vacation!

I tried diluting the surface with alcohol and, according to court documents, proceeded to go on a 3 day bender costing some $300k in damages. Mainly caused by stripping naked and covering myself in Tamiya paints, then running through model shops "post Shading". Multiple minor injuries from a "hot-wire" cutting tool and a claim election interference with details redacted. Police dropped charges relating to the garden rocks*, agreeing that the garden rocks* can be trademarked even if the original application was misplaced, much like the Polish tank divisions. Do any other avid "Nights Shift" friends have such misadventures from following these "relaxing steps".

Excellent Diorama. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it here but if you put a couple of drops of dish soap in your bottle of diluted PVA it should break the surface tension and soak in, saving you the trouble of using IPA. That's what I've always done and it works for me. Keep the videos coming.
