My friends, Maschinen Krieger has been one of the most requested subjects on this channel, but it's finally here! I wanted to put my own spin on this esoteric genre, and an armored mech suit in WW1 trenches seemed right up my alley!
These models are a wonderful blend between armor and figures. You can use every weathering technique known in the armor modelling world yet the shape of the model makes it feel like a scale figure. And they are great relaxing subjects - a suit like this can be efficiently finished in 3 days!

It's a lot of fun and goes together pretty well. Some of the interior parts on the inside of the 'cockpit' gave me a little trouble but pretty sure that was on me. I think you would love it. Give it that WW2 Soviet super heavy cast look.

Great finish my friend! And no worries on the "fuel cap" 😂 maybe they welded a fuel rod in there and called it a day. Less wasted time in the maintenance yard- more time shooting panzerfäusts that appear like farts on the battlefield. I am glad you leaned into this project and had fun with it, it looks absolutely epic in your style and you made the kitbash decals seamlessly integrated into the vehicle. I believe most of these original kits from the early days took decals from scale aircraft kits, so no doubt the lore accurate essence of Ma.K lives on. See you in the next one

It's awesome to see you to being able to take your time and just enjoy a good project, you've been a huge inspiration for me! This whole diorama has a very Iron Harvest esque feel, which if you haven't heard of (I'm sure you have) then you might be interested in a diorama of something like that, maybe a PZM-7. I used to make a couple terrain Mordheim set pieces, but your channel has inspired me to steer a little more towards dioramas, especially ww1 stuff. Keep it up, your work is awesome!

I really like the concept of old-modern dieselpunk stuff like that, It may be worth to take a look at some concept art from the game "Iron Harvest", I've never played it but the art looks cool lol. Also these 30+ minutes videos are just great, the editing is fantastic, the overall quality is superb, amazing! Both this model and the trench looks fantastic, but one constructive criticism I'd have is the lack of battle damage like ricochets, spalling, dents and bends, etc... I imagine that if you had something like that in WW1, much like a tank, as soon as that thing pops up at the battlefield it would become a focus of fire, and as your models seems to have been used for quite some time already, it would be very likely that at some point it would've been damaged by a nearby explosion or got hit by some large caliber weapon, nothing too insane, just some superficial damage to the cast armor, ricochet marks and/or bullet impacts, maybe a chunk of spall damage in one area as if there were an explosion next to it, etc.. Amazing model again, thanks for the video!

Thats nice i really like it ,about the Maschinen Krieger robots because i am making scratch build/3d printed models my self do what ever you like there are no rules ,lately i do all mine with Winter camo and some very bright nose arts .About the hoses ,i am doing exactly what you doing but to improve / keep the shape of your hose and actually look nice ,use a solid black copper wire and insert it inside the "hose" you made, the shape stays 100% and it doesnt split and can bend easy ! Note here before you add your solid wire just sand it a bit so the primer stays because some times maybe because of oils? i am not sure the color doesnt want to stay on the plastic ! By the way amazing work on the sandbags !
