Absolutely love watching masters like trent making music like this. Just to watch the mental process is fascinating to me. For any aspiring musician its like a class with a professor. I really like how they set the mood in the room dark with candles. I didnt even know this piece of equipment existed. I learned something already. I wonder though oftentimes if having soo much gear its a burden rather than a help. There's a learning curve to each, track all the settings for each, maintain each piece also. As opposed to just having a few then really maximizing each. Anyone whos had a few pieces knows that there is like a surface level knowledge and then there are the deep secrets of each piece. If you look at Atari teenage riot mostly use 1 drum machine. They manipulate the hell out of it though chaining various pieces into it

Those strings create percussive sound when you hit them, which is then looped on tape delay. Its called Folktek Instruments - Luminist Garden.

folktek luminist’s garden and it’s very cool but also actually pretty simple just some contact mics and a delay/reverb in an acoustic box with noise making stuff stuck to it. the delay is long so more like a looper, that’s the ‘beat’ aspect

That is called the Foltek Luminist Garden which has a copper top made to create bass drum sounds and thumps when hit. He wanted a hammer to create the bass drum you hear repeated. This will help you understand the instrument better. kzbin.info/www/bejne/npzGdWOYeaelbMU
