This movie still makes me cry. I am still heartbroken that Scarlett and Rhett don’t stay together. They could never remake this movie, Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh are irreplaceable.

The movie ends with hope. Even if they don't end up back together, Scarlet will do fine. She's a survivor.

There is a mini series called scarlett that I really like! It's based on the novels! They do eventually over time reunite!
@infidelheretic9232 жыл бұрын
They were never meant for each other. That’s the whole point. Scarlet was obsessed with a rosy notion of southern honor that she saw in Ashley. By the time she learned to let go of this picture of the past the only man who ever really loved her abandoned her. Scarlet is an anti hero not a hero.
@themedia12712 жыл бұрын
There was an authorized sequel written in the 90s that details Scarlett and Rhett getting back together after the events of GWTW. So they do eventually get back together it just took awhile.

Rhett is not such a hero as some women think. He was slipping around, had a temper and ego about him, and he did not truly love Scarlett, he just really desired her. He wanted what he felt he cannot have, plus she is really beautiful, hot, interesting, strong willed, brave, so pretty much every man around her wanted her. She really is an incredible character, a trailblazer for her times. One of the first businesswomen of that generation. She had bad qualities too, but still an incredible female role model and character!

I think at first: but that’s the point of the film, they both grow up and realize they do love each other. Scarlett was an awful person in the start too. Spoiled and used two men there, one to make Ashley jealous.
@jessebacon817 Жыл бұрын
@@CW-rx2jsno he wasn’t. Scarlett was a strong woman. You think she desired a weak man. All the men she married she ran over. She was no afraid of Rhett Butler. If you forget Scarlet killed a man for coming after her. The problem with women today is you all want to victims.

Scarlett was not a trailblazer. Although I love this movie, her character was all about self. Anything she could gain and merit from people. Did she ever genuinely or sincerely love any soul other than her own? She was so selfish
