Watching guys like Louis and Wayne encouraged me to finally pick up my trumpet again after a 30 year layoff. While i am still no where good enough on "Let it go" yet, i find myself compelled to buy the backing track for this old favorite as well. This song, possibly the most well known favorite of most trumpeters came out while i was in Jr High School. Hell, this song is the World Wide anthem for us trumpet players;)
@OmicronGaming
@OmicronGaming 3 жыл бұрын
I feel like the problem with the guitar solo was how it was placed in the arrangement, it was right after a shout section and at the beginning of the solo section and came out with a very dissonant substitution that held out for an entire phrase, which sort of ruined the hype from the band section before it. Maybe if it was placed later in the solo section, the dissonance would have been more tasteful, and the substitutions are still cool af, but the rapid tonal transitions created an unsteady flow

@@somebody9033 It seems, the octaves naming convention is different in every part of the world! Could you just show a musical sheet lines above staff, then mark what notes belong to what "naming octave"? Would be great if we can uniform this globally at one time. What we call C4 in Europe, is called C 7 or "double C" or"double high C" in other parts of the world, and so on... where exactly does one octave mumber end and another begin? I thought it was at every "C", where another octave number begins, right??

IMO the guitar solo was the most (or only) interesting part of the video. (The rest was cool, though not especially interesting to me)

I actually thought the guitar solo was quite nice! Sure he played out of the progression for some of it, but it was still great improvisation and I’m sure he knew what he was doing

I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing it, but the video & audio seems to desync every once in a while throughout the video, don't know why. (Specifically, it seems to start to happen around the flugelhorn solo). Other than that, the audio was superb! Further Edit: Ok, I seem to have it on videos of other KZbinrs as well, so I'm guessing KZbin's just bugged out for me at the moment.

Back in the 70's you could buy albums called "Music Minus One". These were albums recorded with whatever instrument they were directed for deleted from the sound track. This looks like a digital version of the same. Very cool, wish I still played.......You do a heck of a job on these tunes. Keep up the good work.
