Relive what is being called The Greatest High School Football Game Ever Played. Down 20-0 early in the second quarter, the Eagles fought back to win 46-43 in the most dramatic finish imaginable. Gonzaga trailed 36-21 midway through the 4th quarter and 36-27 with under 4 minutes remaining. After senior DE Joseph Wete caused a fumble and senior LB Aaron Davis recovered in DeMatha territory, sophomore QB Caleb Williams scored his third rushing touchdown of the day to bring the Eagles within 3. The Stags were then forced to punt. On the ensuing drive, facing 3rd and 33, Williams found senior WR Sam Sweeney on a 50 yard pass to give Gonzaga a 1st and Goal with :40 left on the clock... setting up the greatest finish imaginable...

I graduated from Gonzaga in 1951. That was a few years ago. But I have always said when you go to Gonzaga, you are an Eagle for life. I owe a lot to that magnificent school. I am having a hard time writing this because of the tears of joy and the love I have for my alma mater. GO GONZAGA GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im a Coolidge Colt Alumni Football Player 1980 Interhigh Championship and I'm Very Proud of Gonzaga its always been Dematha or St.Johns for years who dominated the WCAC Division in the DMV once you win a Championship you will always be known as a Champion and no one can ever take that from you WHAT A GREAT FEELING . This game is a Classic

Pretty sure. He was a freshman at OU in 2021 so being a HS sophomore in 2018 checks out
