Wow !! Hello ! are you the producer and director of the talkin Jazz Serie ? I catched the recording on NBC europe, in france from the Hotbird Satellite ! I'll try to upscale it at some points the ones i have. I see you're posting all of them , i have one with eric marienthal, and maybe some others, that are not on your channel ! anyway, thanks to have done this serie of interview, it's so so rare that on Tv , such interview happens !

Richard, i don't know why but your answer is not appearing here (but i got it in my mailbox as i'm the owner of this channel). First, thanks a lot fo your work, and this jazz tv serie. I unfortunatly have a few of them, this one, the "short version" (discovering the director's cut of the russel ferrante one ! (can you please, activate the automated CC on your videos ? i'm hearing impaired, and can't listen to what they tell (I got an accident on stage as a jazz pianist 21 years ago, suffering for hearing trauma since then). if you want, As you're publishing the videos, I can remove mine as you're the director. To answer to your question, there was a "jazz show" in France, Called Jazz 6 for the channel M6, each monday at night, there was a concert from the Vienne jazz festival, Marciac, etc... the show was there from the 80's until maybe end of 90's. On Arte back then, they were sometimes broadcasting some compilations (but no full concert) of some Montreux jazz festival concert, I published some of them here. I was very very sad when they stopped NBC europe to replace it with CNBC :( .. We lost not only talkin' Jazz, but as well the Jay Leno's tonight show, that i was watching every night, mainly because Kevin Eubanks and Marvin smitty smith were in the band and some amazing artist where playing there , like Vanessa Williams, Natalie Cole , john williams etc... and there was as well the one with Conan O Brien too, it was amazing for me, because it was just after my hearing accident, and all this was subtitled in Teletex and could whach all this, it helped a lot during these difficult years. Talkin' jazz was exclusive to NBC europe or as well broadcasted in USA too ? (sorry for my long reply)

Gonzalo Rubalcaba es un pianista extraordinario no solo técnicamente, sino artísticamente. En ese North Sea Jazz en The Hague en Holanda, me impresionaron las cualidades artísticas de Gonzalo. Tuve el inigualable honor de aportar las anotaciones explicativas al disco de Gonzalo titulado "Mi Gran Pasion", el cual renovó y actualizo la tradición del danzan cubano, de la misma forma q hizo Astor Piazzola con el tango rioplatense o Paco de Lucía con el flamenco andaluz, pero en el caso de Gonzalo, nunca recibió el reconocimiento pertinente.
