What I love about John is that not only does he have an exceptional voice, he has eliminated every single non-necessary sound or mechanical hindrance. Listen to how he sings "Way." He's not putting handcuffs on the vowel by bringing it back to the "ee" sound from the a to y that we often say. He's letting the ah-eh sound linger freely. He does this all the time, and it helps his wonderful voice really shine through. Just a great merging of voice and singing ability.

He’s just so good! When he does go for it and hit the high notes it sounds so pure! He really has a range and you can see it in full through Dizzy Up The Girl from say Acoustic #3 which is super low, and then bulletproof which has super high notes. I’m always all around impressed with Rzeznik

Every bit of that 2002 concert was magic. The absolute top of their game. I wish the whole thing was still on KZbin.

@@tovangar it’s back! The original channel who posted it had to move his content to a new channel but it’s back I just posted a couple from that because they needed some extra appreciation ❤

3:37 toward the end of Johnny and Robby's insanely awesome instrumental, Robby does a gentle pat on the back and has a shit-eating grin on his face.
