Why should he? I am a musician, too (playing guitar and doing 2nd voice in a rockband for nearly 20 years now - we re not worldwide known rich rockstars, but our band is big enough that we play on festivals all over europe and we can live from our art quite good, without a normal job beside) and there are, in every creative job or "art", two kind of Persons: Artists and "art-workers" ("Kunsthandwerker" called in german, don't know if there is a english word for it). "Art-Worker" describes people just doing it, because they are able too and its fun but they are not attracted from the art. They are no artists. They are worker in an art-job. For example, especially since the 2000s, there is a shitton of popstars (and i would say 90% in casting shows altough have this attitude) who are famous because they are good doing the >work
