Goo Goo Dolls is a rock band renowned for their hits “Iris,” “Slide,” “Name,” “Black Balloon,” “Better Days,” “Come To Me,” and “Here Is Gone.” They worked with artists like Sydney Sierota, Taylor Swift, and Avril Lavigne - amassing billions of global streams and garnering critical acclaim.
Lyrics:
And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
When sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you'd bleed just to know you're alive
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

There’s something so special about this performance… the rain, the song, the crowd just living in the moment. I get goosebumps every time I watch this.

@ericengbloom3857 It's so crazy to me that like 80% of the North American population thinks anyone cares so much about their life that they need to record every cathartic experience they have. Like, not a single person cares, I'm sorry. We do not need to see your shitty POV of an NFL game, we're gonna watch it on TV if we want to see it. You aren't special, stop recording everything like your life is a reality TV show. Sorry for the rant.

GRIZZLYFIT. Jungle Fitness after the success of his first major hit, “Name”, he got hit with severe writers block that lasted a very long time, and he had begun to give up on being a singer songwriter. He then was asked to write a song for the movie City of Angels, and what he came up with eventually became Iris, and he was so happy to finally have finished a thought. Iris became another big hit, and changed his life forever.

Yeah this song was so well known because it's one of the City of Angels ost. That movie was good too.

I think I saw it years ago. The lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls lives in the same town as the children I subbed for. Odd, I know. If you like female singer-songwriters, check out my original music on KZbin. Thanks, Virgo.

I taught English for over 20 years in public and private schools. I am no ordinary singer-songwriter, my friend. I have a master's degree in creative writing, so I should know the proper usage of "its." Thanks for noticing, though. Please check out my music on KZbin. More tunes are coming soon.

@Little Albert I hear you, LA. It used to be one of mine as well. But my life lately is more about music and less about the English language. Still, my lyrics are grammatically correct as well. LOL! Once in the habit, always in the habit.

I remember when he was my neighbor way before he was famous. Every weekend I would hear music from his house & damn did it sound good. He was so nice & friendly, he invited me to hangout but I was too damn shy. Anyways, I’m so happy for him. I remember when this song came out, I cried because I was so happy for him.

Didn't see a single cellphone in the crowd and have never heard a crow belt out the song as hard and passionately that that crowd did. Truly magical moment in that era of music.

Truth, but cell phones had existed for years by the time of this concert, just no iPhones for another couple years. People probably just didn’t want to ruin their phones.
