Robby is the bassist and a founding member of the band in 1985, with Johnny and the original drummer George. He was originally the singer when they were punk/grunge and John was too shy to sing; but Robby encouraged him to do it. They have a 40-year friendship and working partnership. Amazing! Very cool guys with good senses of humor and work ethic.

It was a great show - only an hour set because so many bands that day. There was a misty rain off the ocean during their set which made it even more magical. I love being in an intergenerational crowd that appreciates GGD music.

It might be that; but also a commentary about his own life, father and mother died when he was 14/15, where do names come from, where do they go; what does your family name mean when you are an orphan?
