Markell, perhaps you can address this question on a future Q&A session for us veterans who find ourselves in this situation. Have you interacted with the VA Foreign Medical Program (FMP) office in Colorado before? Trying to get the VA FMP to reimburse me for service connected disabilities is always an extremely frustrating experience which takes about a year to complete and receive reimbursement. The FMP office almost always denies my claims first as they want me to send in elaborate medical documents, such as those documents using computer programs with medical diagnostic codes, etc., like in the United States and how insurance claims are processed. The problem with FMP's approach is I live in a third world country where clinics/hospitals don't have a paper trail process like in the US, and they are asking for something that doesn't exist in this country. I feel lucky that my doctor actually has a printer in his office and prints out my prescription to take to a pharmacy. Most of the time a doctor just writes a prescription by hand on a piece of paper. When I file my claim with the FMP office, I do provide a written statement basically explaining that yes I live in a third world country where the medical system is dilapidated and there is no equivalent to insurance or medical billing/records systems int his country like in the US. But they don't pay much attention to the information I share with them. Is there something else that veterans could be doing to better navigate the FMP reimbursement process for service connected disabilities?

Ok Good Evening, I will talk about this tomorrow on the Live show with some tips, but your best bet to be honest when living in another country is getting the local health insurance and using that expect when it comes to devices, wheelchairs or walkers, I have found that way to be a much better way

To elaborate more on the HCA in Panamá I received an email stating that HCA amongst doctors and pharmacies are under investigation by FMP possibly for fraud.
