i am one of those who recieived $26K under the SSB program back in1992. But the check i got from uncle Sam was for $18K. I was single and they taxed the crap out of me. then at end of the year I found out I had to pay again $700 for taxes. I guess I got jacked up to the next highter tax bracket. So my question is why I just recently retired from the Reserve and now they are saying I have to pay back the original $26K even though I only got less than 18K after all that. What gives?

US vet here. I'm planning on living there at some point next year. Very cost effective and comfortable based on my standards. I'm originally from Jamaica so my standards and comfort levels can vary. As long as I have a decent place (A/C or a couple of fans, full kitchen, at least 1 bd/br, nice markets and transportation) I can enjoy it and make my money go longer and even put away money every month.

Ok I went back to my search for court cases and it's as simple as "VA court cases (condition 1) secondary to (condition 2). Like Ed secondary to depression, or Ed secondary to lower back, etc. The search will bring (number).txt files or court cases. That should help with any conditions that I have looked into.

When you marry a military member your medical records belong to that military member. I was a veteran but I was a military spouse 2nd. My medical records are under his SSN. We divorced I have to get permission from him to get what pages he is willing to give to me after they blacked out information that has nothing to do with him other than his SSN. I've argued this fact that I still should have had a copy 1st as an adult Veteran.

When an error is found (cancel 1 year limitation find). It should be fixed and back-dated to the date or half the time of the error date. Stop the back-and-forth duty to assist errors and assist the members to not lose time and money on decisions. The Navy got it right with their lawsuit. Duty to assist is meant to assist the veteran! That is the beginning and the end!
