That was one of the best iPhones I've ever had ! Crazy that it's now five years since its release! I got mine for Christmas that year 2018 or whatever. Best Christmas year and it snowed and they closed all the stores and roads because where I live we normally don't get snow and so my area didn't have plows to clear the snow so I was stuck inside but got to take some good snow photos with my iphone X such great memories with that 10.

I had XS until about 3 weeks ago. I upgraded to a 14 pro. I’m really happy with the 14 pro, but my XS was a damn good phone. It probably had a good couple years left in it. The 14 pros are badass devices, the camera is stellar and the dynamic island is a nice new touch…

@@9852323no need to be salty, i mean it’s a pretty huge difference for him my guy, he’s coming from a xs so, he def felt the boxy design change, 48mp main camera is also a huge deal for detailed pics, lidar scanner for quick low light pics, the huge battery upgrade, bluetooth 5.3 for seamless wireless iots connectivity and i can go on. I’ll be honest here, if someone’s coming from the 12, 13 series? They’ll feel no difference rather than the dynamic island notch but i can sure you, if someone’s coming from the 11 or older models, they can def feel the upgrades the new 14 series r packing.

hope my x will get another year of support.I’ve had it since launch day and I had a lot of memories with it.Even though it is not in the best shape(screen cracked and a massive line on the screen and no faceid),I still love it and I think it’s still a good phone and it should keep getting updates for at least 1 year

That makes sense! My parents have iPhone 8 models. I have the iPhone 12. It is still running smoothly! What I usually do is give my phone to one of them and either my mom or I or dad and I get the next phone. I look for the iPhone 15 coming in September. Hopefully there will not be any more delays. Maybe the manufacturers that supply the parts will come together and start production sooner rather than later to prevent any kind of delay. I look forward to iOS 17 being announced in June.

I would love to get the 15 but I already have the 14 pro max and I have to say that I have no regrets. I know the 15 is gonna another game changer, mainly because of the strong theory’s that the buttons will become haptic rather than physical ones which is only nice if you plan on keeping the phone for years and years.

I hope my iPhone X lives on. Most expensive phone Iv ever purchased, most innovative one Iv owned, the best iPhone Iv ever owned. It’s got a new battery in it and still works perfectly! Solid device even 5 years on! Thank you Apple! TBH, even if the X misses out on iOS17 I’ll be still using it as a daily driver throughout 2024. I love this phone!

Still using xs max and I love the phone. I bought it when it came out and I am still using it. Idk how many times it fell to the floor but there’s not a single crack. Only the storage is a little problem but that’s not a huge issue

Still love my silver X but I can feel his last breaths. He’s still trying to do the best. It is small, it takes excelent pictures, display is still A+, it looks good, and it is the icon of the whole smartphone industry. If I will upgrade, I’ll probably tear it down and frame it or keep it as a memory.

My grandfather owned a XS for a few years but unfortunately he passed away in the summer in 2021. I did play on this device and I experienced it can perform high graphics. The iPhone X did change a lot for Apple users and the company itself. It was the first iPhone to support Face ID and more advanced.

I bought a used iPhone x recently on the used market since I really wanted a somehow “modern” design iPhone on a budget. I hope they can still implement ios 17 on iPhone x 😢 even if all of the features aren’t included, just the basic ones, like in the ios 16. This is a legendary phone, I hope apple pays homage to that.

I got iPhone X on release date 3.11.2017 and have had it ever since. It works perfectly and just as well as any newer iPhone, the only thing I’ve had to do is replace the battery once. Will be sad if they stop supporting. I still use my iPad Air which was the newest iPad when I got it I 2013, and although I can still use it for most things, there are some apps and features that don’t work on it which is a bit annoying considering the device itself still functions well 10 years later. (My iPad still has flappy bird on it but it auto-offloaded to save space and now can’t be redownloaded, but it’s still on my home screen)

Yeah dude I still use my original iPad Air from 2013 and my iPhone 6s. Still getting security updates on both too. They are meant to last for a long time. It’s a waste to not use an apple device for at least 6 years assuming you got It when it was the latest and greatest thing.

iPhone X had GREAT battery life.. I had the iPhone X for 4.5 years since early 2018 then traded it in for the 12 because of a trade in deal, my iPhone X had a 88% battery health.. only 6 months with the 12 and my battery health was at 84%, both phones were jailbroken too so..

Keep my word! The iPhones with A11 bionic will get iOS 17 support. Idk why but it feels like it. iPhones with A9/A10 fusion chips lost support in the same year, so maybe A11 bionic iPhones will get another year. Also noticed that even though A9/A10 fusion iPhones were discontinued from major updates, but iPads (5th/6th gen.) did not. Who knows what’s gonna happen. Gonna wait.

I’m pretty sure it’s because the iPads either have more RAM or their chipsets have higher clocks than their iPhone counterparts, which is why they are still supported.

I don’t think Apple will discontinue iPhone X this year. iOS 17 will offer incremental updates and more stable and efficient performance. So I expect iOS 17 to run on iPhone X and this will be its final major software update. Edit : Like what Apple did with iPhone 5s since iOS 11 was slow and buggy and iOS 12 fixed these performance issues.

iOS 17 leaks pretty much said that the latest OS won't have much new features beside performance and battery optimization, which I think iPhones X still deserves it. Well, I am not sure since the beta aint up yet so there's not much to say about anything for now. iPhone X may not get the iOS 18 updates however

i just really hope that the newer the iphones are built the longer they can be supported. and if ios17 is not a major update (like 16) then i think X will still be supported. i just do hope that they will improve the years of support for the newer models or maintain the years of support like they did with iPhone 7.

I think the 6 and the 10 were the 2 best iPhones ever made. I'm an Android guy myself but I'd be coping if I didn't acknowledge how great those 2 phones were. I hope the 15 (which is rumored to have USB-C instead of Lightning) is just as innovative and memorable as the 6 and the 10

I bought a new XR in 2018 and it still works great with 92 percent battery health. When I bought it, the Apple Genius said it was a great choice and I have never looked back. At $150 trade in value, it is not worth the trade. I figure I got 2 more years and then will buy the iPhone SE 2,that will be released next year. Estimated price of $599 is what I want to afford and will probably need 5G at that time.

I don’t understand, it feels like phones are becoming obsolete faster, the iPhone X isn’t really that old and the iPhone 7 lasted a decent amount of time considering. The iPhone SE (2nd gen) had to be one of the least most electronically durable devices I’ve ever seen, mainly because the of bad battery health.
