Used the 14 pro max for the month and went back to the 13 pro. Hated dynamic island the way it cut into more content. Apart from that it was pretty much the same phone. I really think the 13 pro and pro max are one of apples best iPhones to date

I totally agree with the camera issues. For example do to the change in the focal length I can't get clean photos of A4 size documents because it's in the limit between macro and main camera and because both cameras have higher aperture sizes documents are darker in auto mode. No issues with 13PM. Also when I take normal pictures it distorts a bit in the ages of the photos going out of focus for no reason. Again no issues with the 13PM

This is weird how people are having these dramatically different experiences. I’ve had my 14 Pro Max since launch day and it has been nothing but great to me. I also came from an iPhone 12, so the upgrade was bigger for me. Probably depends on what phone you’re coming from.

I think there are far more people not having issues vs those that do. I too have the 14 Pro Max and since launch day the phones been rock solid. Some of what is mentioned in this video like charging on hold issue sounds hardware related and a replacement may be needed.

Yh, I upgraded from the iPhone 8 and got my 14 Pro Max on launch day. I’ve had no hardware issues or software issues. I just had those odd bugs where when watching KZbin, the screen turns black for no reason so I have to close the video and put it on again, other than that no issues at all. Cameras great, batteries great, phone is very smooth. However, it should be noted that I also had that black screen on my iPhone 8 when watching KZbin aswell. So it’s probably just iOS issues I’ve had on both my phones, so maybe these examples so faulty hardware In addition with iOS being buggy at the moment?

Switched from iPhone 12 to IPhone 14 pro Max. I am experiencing only one of the issue out of all this. And it is camera indeed. The low light images does look quite over processed which wasnt the case with iPhone 12. Apart from this issue which is fixable via software update. iPhone 14 pro max is a worthwhile upgrade

I switched from the iPhone SE 2020, to the iPhone 14 Pro. My experience on the 14 is better. And I have not run into any of the issues you mentioned in this video except for the focusing part with the cameras. Which isnt really an issue for me. Overall I love the 14 pro. My favorite part about it is the dynamic island. Also I want to mention, im not sure if the issues people have been having are a pro max thing or a 14 iphone thing in general. But i havent experienced really anything on the 14 pro.

I had a lot of issues with the iPhone 14 pro , I resolved all issues including poor battery by simply connecting my iPhone to iTunes and deleting the iOS and reinstalling iOS then I set up the iPhone as new and the phone has been wonderful since. This was all done under thirty minutes. Sign in to iCloud and get back your photos, contacts and messages. Really surprised you haven’t done this yet…

I went from my Iphone 12 pro max to the 14 pro max a few weeks ago and I can confirm that I had more issues with it in the short time that I owned it then the entire time owning the 12 pro max. Most of the problems are with the camera. Its true the picture for me have taken at step in the wrong direction and just last night I tried to zoom in just a bit and my camera kept switching from one lens to the other nonstop I had to power the phone off then back on just crazy thinking how much this phone cost to have to deal with simple tasks

I upgraded from my 12 PM to 14PM . And yeah, there's some really annoying bugs. I never got the charging issue only once but because i was swimming in the pool with my 14PM recording underwater. But battery life for me is good 8-10hrs screen on time per day; and i charge it once per day. And not the screen issue either. For me, it was mainly contacts or imessages freezing when trying to search things. For me, I really am happy with the upgrade despite the bugs. No regrets for me

I’m @ 97% battery life on my iPhone 13 Pro Max from released day. 2 of my relatives have the 14s Pro Max and battery on their particular units just can’t keep up with my 13 PM unit. This past Christmas was when we noticed the big differences on that. 14 is not bad, but just doesn’t feel the part it “might” fool some as apple’s marketing stunt has that effect, but not really as many other experts have literally expressed similar feelings. Good that this video is out about this.👍

I like my 12 pro max. I see no reason to change at this time. It works good always has cameras really good . I hope the 15 has a better camera. That’s why I buy the phone is mostly for the camera simpler and easier to use and I want it to be adorable against rain stuff like that because I would like to see a better camera I do use my phone in the elements a lot. I keep a case, I didn’t get water in it because I had it on my handlebars on my motorcycle in the rain but I blew it out and it works fine.

@@bamaboyburns8079 I think it’s an excellent phone and a great camera. I cannot see spending the money for 13 now or 14. Mine is a 12 pro max. If they come out with a new one with a better camera I’ll get one but this one works great. I don’t see the difference in them as far as that little slot on top I don’t really care about that. I don’t know what the big deal is, I keep all my music on my phone I don’t even use a computer anymore so everything’s on the phone. I wish they had a telephoto lens. I do a lot of traveling on my bike and the phone is out on my handlebars with a case, but it’s been great, I have insurance on it. I haven’t needed it yet. Good phone and it’s fast no problems.

That's good if you need to do that. I've had some sporadic freezing with screen orientation and delayed scrolling but since I came from a 7 Plus, I don't regret it. Also regarding me upgrading, even if I just thought about doing it now I would not go for a 13 over a 14 as it would be a waste of investment.

I feel like Apple is sort of rushing things when it comes to releasing new iPhone yearly. It understandable as to why most companies including Apple themselves do this but it would be nice if they can slow down and at least see how their customers react and hear out their views and issues that may arise. The biggest issue is battery and it continuing to get worse update after update ( it can be different on your personal iPhone) but if Apple can at least hear out on these issues, at least they can come up with an improvement or otherwise a revised layout of the internal for the battery. I’m also having issues with AirPods Pro 2 displaying incorrect battery information on my iPhone 14 pro max and I’m sure other are too with their personal AirPods. It would be nice if apple can improve that but I would suggest an ability that allows user who have their apple devices linked to their Apple ID display battery info for all apple devices (it is something you can view from Find My but efforts are required plus half the time, it take a while to load). I’m sure everyone has different opinions on Apple’s position when it comes to bugs like these and the ones mentioned in this video but it would be nice if Apple can take a step back and resolve all this before introducing new features.

You’re not the only one with those issues regarding Apple owned Bluetooth headphones/earbuds issues. I have the Beats Studio Buds (have never owned AirPods. But I get incorrect/unreliable battery information frequently on the Beats Studio buds. And I agree with you, I think Apple rushes their iPhone models and they’re okay with it because they figure they’ll get millions of sales of the units and they’ll just fix the problems in later iOS updates. A product should not be released (especially from a company like Apple) until it’s *damn near perfection*

I switched from 11 to 14 pro max . But honestly not impressed with the new phone. Specially camera interface is laggy and has glitches. Camera keeps on focusing between the cameras. Camera transition is like a Samsung. In instagram stories always capture shaking photos. You have to very stable while clicking pictures to upload. Honestly my 11 was better overall phone including the camera.

hmm... from my experience. The only issues have mainly been closed up camera focusing. I used to have some touch input issues, but this disappeared after some software updates. Other than that, haven't seen any of the other issues you've mentioned. I beleive the camera focusing got fixed with software too, but QR focusing issues still remains..

I got a 14PM after owning a 12 Pro and the battery life is just better. I did contemplate going with a 13PM simply because of the color. Honestly, the dynamic Island should be replacing the entire or at least, the majority of the current notification system on iOS. BIG SWING and MISS.

I never have use a iPhone 13. I’m using an iPhone 14 in purple. I’m pretty smart on iPhones. I have a friend about a little bit over 2 years ago. Her son got her an iPhone SE(2) in red and I was trying to showed her how to used it just the basics of it since I have the same iPhone in white that I still have as my backup iPhone 14. I even still have iPhone 8. I have to return that iPhone 8 towards my carrier.

My 13 PM is an absolute beast of a phone. Had it since launch day and the battery health sits at 98% as we speak. Software is on point. Camera is on point and you just can’t kill this battery! Best iPhone Apple has ever made.

I have it since january 2022 and the battery life is at 95%. When i started updating my phone, the battery life started to go down quicker. I regret upgrading from IOS 15 to 16 tbh. My battery is still top notch, but not as beastly as it was in the beginning of my journey with IOS 15.

I have no MagSafe charger in my home. I have a car Mount that uses MagSafe in the air vent.. the A/C is at 70 which keeps it cool when I’m driving so no issues with the charging

The quality, durability, and consistent reliability of the iPhone hardware showed up for the very first time in spades with the introduction of the 10S and 10S Max. That has been consistent up to the present with the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. My take is that Apple’s iPhone hardware division has gotten their act together in spades. Therefore there is no valid reason whatsoever that the iPhone software division has not followed suit. For years now, we the customers have been made to serve as the unpaid test bed for that software division. It is reprehensibly criminal - no ifs and or buts, and it is more than high time it stops NOW!!! Apple has had years to determine a solid estimate of how long it takes to fully research, fully develop, and fully finalize each new introduced iPhone software. If it’s two or three years then that is how they must approach when to begin R&D of a new software to where it will be released in completely finalized form alongside the new handsets which have been produced by the hardware division in that exact manner since 2018. On another equally essential subject: If the 14 Pro Max for the USA market had been produced with a nano SIM card alongside the eSim capability the way all the ones produced for every market across the globe are produced I would have upgraded to one of those models. After a nearly three hour discussion on the day to day experiences of customers utilizing the Apple eSim technology in all the iPhone models that began in the 10S and 10S Max the discussion having occurred with a top advanced support technician at my carrier, AT&T who have three years on all their competitors in supporting iPhones on their system, I learned from the literal horrors revealed that I could never ever subject such a lifeline piece of technology as I need to such a literal “Russian Roulette” unpredictability. The worst case scenario which is NOT uncommon are people being completely cut off of AT&T’s system as though they never ever had a customer account with them. It is inexcusably criminal to the first degree that Apple has so far gotten away scot free unjustly, and criminally discriminating against all of their USA customer base only by forcing them to accept the 14 series of their iPhone missing the nano Sim technology that they consistently, and readily include in all of those same exact 14 series models for all of their other customer base in every single other country around the world including our immediate neighbors on our northern border - Canada! It’s despicably reprehensible, and they need to be held fully accountable and punished for such inexcusable, unjustifiable discrimination.

I upgraded from 6 plus so the 14 pro max is awesome in terms of upgrades to me. But the battery life seems to be short. It drains fast even after optimizing for longer battery life.

Has anyone experienced any glitches with the 14 series? I’ve noticed sometimes that when you touch the side button, a rectangle will appear around the time clock and it won’t let you touch anything on the screen it’s like it will act up from time to time.

Yeah, the reduced battery life is what stopped me from getting the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Plus, I always upgrade when Apple makes a major upgrade (RAM, speed, cameras etc) & I don’t feel that is the case here. I really wanted them to keep the battery life of the 13 Pro Max, focus on astrophotography, & maybe add sapphire crystal to the display.

I’m having problems with the text size. It doesn’t work at times. I went into a chat box where I could not write anything because the box was so big it extended way over the left hand side of the screen. Weird

Not seeing any of your issues. 14 Pro Max has been excellent since launch. You may have a hardware issue in regards to charging on hold, I use MagSafe nightly with zero problems and the battery is very impressive as is everything else.

My buddy has 14 pro and its camera is so overexposed and compared to the 13 pm, takes FOREVER to focus its almost impossible to actually take a photo half the time. Not just his but multiple friends w the 14 pm camera it just isnt as good

I switched just a month ago I haven’t ran into any problems at all and as great as the 13 pm is the 14pm is just better overall especially the camera the battery life seems head to head the dynamic island and aod make it feel a lot newer than what it is

I can agree with you it’s not just a software some people have problems with hardware depends on the phone! For example, I have a iPhone 14 Pro, but I have no problems with it at all ! That’s right I said in my previous comment some phones have a problem with hardware or something?!?! Who knows we’ll see
