I received my CCW permit in San Bernardino County through Sheriff’s Department! They want you to come in and apply! It was not a difficult process at all! Live in the county for one year and be not a criminal!! The Sheriff himself said asked if we knew anyone that needed to apply for to have them go online and apply! Very easy process!!

Kil RN4L yes you have to reapply to that county! They tell you if you move out of the county you have to notify them within 10 days and give up you CCW permit or it is a felony. They said they had a man that was using his CCW as if he was living in San Bernardino County but had info he was living in Riverside County but that was his rental property his full time property was in Riverside County. So they found him living in Riverside County and arrested him on the felony. He said he did it because its an easier process and a lot less time through San Bernardino County then it is through Riverside County!!

That you have to wait two years, until you're up for renewal, before you can add new pistols. I wanted to apply years ago, but I waited until I had three pistols, which I finally do.

Princess_Yow True! You can only carry the guns you qualify with! They will be listed on your CCW card and if you get caught carrying concealed a gun that’s not on that list I believe you can lose your card! good video. in Nevada county I listed my reasons as "too old to run or fight and live in a remote area with no public services.". since there were nearly a dozen others getting their first permit when I was there other reasons work as well.

BloomsStudios unfortunately no. You need to have an Orange County address on your ID. Since you are on the boarder, if possible, I would move to the OC side. If would give you the ability to carry in California which is such a rare thing.

It's interesting to watch these videos, especially being someone on the outside looking in. I live in Colorado, in a "Shall Issue" county. You take a CCW class, two hours of lecture and a few dozen rounds downrange to show you're capable of pulling a trigger. Then you hand the sheriff 150 bucks and they call you in a few months to tell you it's ready. No reason asked, none required.

Yup, I lived in San Carlos so I moved back to America, Texas and got a LTC. I too am a photographer. I used to charge extra for east bay gigs. In New Hampshire, the police department has ten days to approve or deny your application and they can't deny it unless they have a specific articulable reason to. Also the permit itself is optional, you don't even need it because open and concealed carry is legal even without a permit so long as you are legally allowed to posses a gun

WOW!! Very eye-opening to watch! I live in NC where the only requirements are 1.being of age, 2. not being a convicted felon, and 3. paying the $95 fee to get it. I couldn’t imagine knowing my rights to defend myself and to be able to carry a weapon without everyone being able to see that I had it depended on who I knew and how big of a business I had!!! John Regan I never attempted, but my brother said his coworker did and that it was pretty easy. Just apply and do the courses. I'm not sure what he put as the reason to why we needed one on the form. But Sacramento is one of the easier cities in NorCal to obtain one.

@@larloscastra8087 Sacramento County is actually quite reasonable. If your background doesn't have anything all that bad, you should do OK. They do look at your background pretty closely. However, the process is pretty easy and most of it is handled online. All Sac County trainers are required to use a specific course of fire and each handgun must be qualified with. CalGuns does have a Sacramento forum and there's LOTS of info there about what you must do to get a CCW. Seriously, for most folks that can legally own and possess firearms, the hardest part is paying for it all. There's the initial application fee, the Live Scan, training (after approval of course), and then paying the balance of the application fee upon pick up of the license. Renewals are also expensive but not as costly as an initial license.

Nope. They purposely make it expensive and hard for people to get guns, therefore restricting access to law abiding citizens in bad neighborhoods. Another one of the racist policies set in place by the dems. You don’t see as many people robbing folks or breaking into homes in Texas or Nevada, cause crooks know they better be ready to fight an armed homeowner. In metropolitan California, crooks know that the majority of people don’t have guns and take full advantage of it. I couldn’t afford a gun while my gf and I had our apt (stupid Bay Area rent) and instead got a high power pellet rifle, machete, and k bar. Though I could legally carry my kbar in public and loved the looks shady people had when they sized me up and then saw the knife....or PC libs in rich areas who called the cops on me a couple times. Cops didn’t care and told me good stuff for wanting to protect myself.

Reno May what got me to take so long was that 3 years back Orange County refused to even take a second look at my application since I didn’t have a good cause!(shall issue County that’s why) My uncle owns a business in this county and he told me the sheriff is friendly to good cause for self defense! So after doing my research and thank you for this great video! I just downloaded my application and will call the sheriffs dept. tomorrow morning!

I live in Ventura County! Been out here for a little over 3 years now. Just recently spoke to a guy who said his brother got his just recently. He said it was easy and quick compared to other areas. So I’ll be going for mine soon! I use to do armed security for a company that does CCW gigs as well.
