I love the way you teach! Super comprehensive but so easy to understand, even for a complete ukulele novice like me. Thank u!

Good job. The only thing I would add is the drop down chord progression during "friends by a year by and by" which is Gm7 Gm6 Ebmaj7 . All you do is slide your ring finger down then barre the first fret in a standard F chord guitar position. Thanks for the lesson.

The way you explain the chords and the song is very nice, thank you!

Love it, but what about the descending notes around the Gm chord during the bridge? i.e.; "All my friends by a year by and by disappear"?

As a Canadian, it's Eh! not A ..lol.. great lesson. Have been learning Formby's style, makes it easier with all the split stokes in this song

Votes for a more in depth tutorial on this please, with breakdown of each solo and optional flourishes and exact fingerings! EG: which A's do you play in the progression? Which frets? What are the exact positions of the Gm diminished chords? Whats that little vamp you're doing mid verse?

Cool tuto ! But Brian May play this song in F♯. Why everybody play it in F ? But nice video by the way.
@BensUkeTutes5 жыл бұрын
Hey Flo, in the interview about this one you can see Brian May plays the chords with these shapes (F shape, C shape) etc...). His banjo-lele was tuned one step higher for the recording though it seems. You can play exactly like on the record by tuning G# C# F A# then you play an F and sounds like an F# (because it is one)

It was good, up until the best part of the song where you are going up the fretboard and we cant see what any of the actual fingering was. Some more charts or describing which strings and frets are depressed would have really helped. Queen is my all time favorite band (maybe tied with Beatles, ELO and Alan Parsons) so I would have liked to really learn this song in its entirety
