yayaya eating this up!! look at the silly lil guy go!! also i think the part at 2:14 is neat, with the effect where every frame leaves a sort of after image? it’s pretty cool :) amazing animation like always :3

guys i dont think hes having a good day Anyways, awesome as always! I really like the mouth part at the beginning and the part at 2:14 where it gets kinda blurry, like tears fell on the page. I also think the bit before that with Whole was awesome. Also, is the final part a reference to your Suburbia Overture animatic? Maybe I’m just seeing patterns that aren’t there, or you just drew them similarly on accident, but I think it’s cool.

Can Iask whats your workflow is when making your animations? Like what applications you use, how do you start animations, how do you get inspo and etc? I love your work and I wanna know how you make these, plus I wanna make an animation too but don't know where to start.
@ocelliseii4 ай бұрын
@any.user.allowed. of course!! Alright so it usually goes like this:to start, after listening to the chosen song just, an embarrassing number of times to really take all the little nuances and details I usually make a quick super scribbly storyboard on paper to plan out basic motions,divide it into sections and get a little bit done each day,which backgrounds i have to make etc etc, also references references references, having something tangible really helps in the long run and Pinterest is wonderful to find them, everything is drawn on procreate, and I usually start with the backgrounds, the 3d effect is achieved assembling it on Mental Canvas, and sometimes like on the Mind Electric I utilize blender to make em, after the backgrounds are done, I edit them appropiately on Capcut, and all the effects I use are free which is pretty neat, so I reccomend to just play around and figure out which ones work for you, on the actual animation, again using procreate animation assist, then exporting them as gifs with the transparent background, sometimes I freehand it, sometimes I rotoscope videos of myself if I want to get a specific motion or get it done faster by taking a video, screenshotting it bit by bit and uploading the individual images to procreate to then trace over them and colour them individually, the brushes I use are mainly tesselated, the studio pen, avalon and gouache, and to achieve that high contrast effect, I use the 'chromatic aberration' on adjustments on the top left of the screen on each frame and then paint over it with the hard mix layer, After you have everything done,just assemble it on Capcut or Vllo and voila! You got yourself a sort of animation! That's all I can think of at the moment, but let me know if you have any specific questions, best of luck! And as cliché as it sounds, the most important thing is to have fun, after I finish this behemoth I might make a proper behind the scenes, but in the meantime best of luck!! Get weird with it!!You got this!! :D
