chicha1964 The colorfull carpets can be seen the days that there's a procession in the Holy Week. There is not an specific day or procession

Jake Morris Actually there is. I went there finally. The carpets are ONLY for the Good Friday and some for the Easter Sunday.

There is not, I lived in Guatemala for 4 years and I know the tradition pretty well. For the Goof friday people make more carpets than other day, but those are NOT only on those days. You should stay there the hole holy week and see that you are wrong.

Why do you think it's too exaggerated?, In my opinion, I think it looks beautiful the Santo Entierro of Escuela de Cristo, I think is the best and most complete of Antigua Guatemala.
