I'm not a sneaker head or a skater but this is a pretty cool concept. If they could perfect the design so that it actually functioned before the shoe failed, I'd probably be interested in buying a pair. The idea of shoes with a unique look based on the use of the owner is good.
@amyx2312 жыл бұрын

#1 artistic was definitely the best. I really like the concept of these shoes though. If you wear them for long enough you might start wearing through the layers if you get the surface messed up enough. I feel like the boots I wear every day have taken a significant enough amount of surface wear over the last few years to wear through a weaker material like these are made from. The only problem is that stitching, and if it would actually last the number of years required to collect that much surface wear.

I actually kind of like #1! My only grip would be the graffiti as it would take away of some of the blending of the colors and then acted like it's too much. I feel like #2 would be so much better if they took advantage of cutting into the blue layer to expose the red in set patterns or styles! But I felt like I like 1 due to the colors of the rubber on the sole.

I agree. What they should look to do in a skate shoe is NOT to try to have layers to reveal themselves in the leather because you have to wear through the stitching first in order to accomplish that, and bits of plastic material skate shoes use to protect the stitching would get in the way. So why not just make your protective outer itself designed to wear away from the griptape? It could be thought of as a sacrificial outer material that is not structural and very highly layered.
